A thread for chatting about Temu bargains.
Can this be avoided by keeping a purchase within a certain sum?
No, it affects all.
Long sleeve t-shirt black small €2.68

If customs and the delivery companies are operating in accordance with the posted details, then it seems to make most of the stuff they sell just not worth the effort.
I recognise some of the goods being similar to Amazon purchases I made and the returns with Amazon were a pain even without the customs involvement, I somehow think that the failure rates would be similar for Temu and the prices if anything would be higher once the customs charges are applied?
I have made up a part order of around forty Euro assuming that it would be all I would pay. If not the case then I might have to phone Amazon to see if one off orders can be done without a mobile. Always assuming they don't ask me to punch in a texted security code before answering :-)
In all fairness to Amazon, the fact that you knew precisely what you were paying was a plus point. At first I was shocked to find a £300-00 rotavator had gone up by 160 euro and refused the item, but subsequent purchases were automatically adjusted and no additional charges made.
I ordered on the 12th of Jan and was sent on the 13th if arrived in in Dublin and was in caught in customs since according to Fastway
I received the refund and forgot all about it now by magic it was delivered this morning so there is hope yet for some
It was unlimited at the very beginning.
You can get 20% off on request (not every time, try getting it every day, won't work), you can re-instate coupons only if they were expired within 30 days.
Ordered €54 worth of items on January 31st (8 items: 6 clothing items and two plastic bits).
The expected delivery was from Feb 8th to 20th.
Arrived this morning via An Post.
Did you have to pay duty on the 54 euro and customs handling to An Post?
There is no duty or customs to be paid on orders from temu
Sometimes they appear out of knowwhere and just at your day, Keep a close eye on it today and tomorrow id say, Otherwise give them the late voucher aswel😜
This order seems to be back to normal delivery wise, maybe Chinese new year slows things down because I know a few factories close down for two weeks
Many thanks, it might have been obvious as I progressed to payment, but I wanted to be sure.
Any few bit I've gotten from Amazon in recent times are obviously coming direct from China given the delivery times.
Some things you can't get anywhere else, but otherwise the middle man can go whistle.
I got this hoody recently, it was €8 at the time, €14 now but the quality was great as was the fit. I'm XL and usually, it's the body length that is too short but this was really nice and washed well.
Ordered a medium size order (€50ish) on 4th Feb and arrived today 13th with An Post, just over a week so happy enough.
I received my order yesterday after ordering 10 days previous. One item that cost 26 euro wasn't the right size so I asked for return label and refund to be credited to my account. I just checked my account and the refund wasn't processed so I contacted the chat helpline. Got an apology, told to keep the item and within seconds an email confirming the refund is in my account.
Some customer service in all fairness.
Did an order yesterday, it has shipped but I didn't think my card passed security. I have an AIB visa and the security push or password wouldn't work. I forgot an item and tried to add to the order, but I couldn't. The 50 euro was ok it seems but adding a forgotten control relay for eight wasn't feasible due to security.
After four calls to the AIB helpline I have logged an English visa with Temu. It's ironic that AIB charge for everything and provide a pretty poor service, yet no English banks charge if I'm in credit and the service is a whole lot better too.
PayPal. Wouldn't be using a card online at all if possible.
The main reason I use TEMU is because they take PayPal, so you don't have any risk of any messing around with your 'real' card like you've experienced. If they didn't take PP I wouldn't be using them. PP is free for the buyer so it's a no brainer, and if worst comes to worst you've got the PP dispute resolution as back up for 6 months.
Saying that, TEMU CS has been amongst the best I've experienced with an online sales platform, so hopefully a PP dispute will never be necessary.
Your times are identical to mine down to the minute for arrival and customs clearance. Cleared customs on Sunday morning no movement since 😭. Do you have yours yet?
It’s in dublin now should be with me tomorrow
Many thanks, Done!
I used them for ebay purchases years back, they were o/k until all the details went along with the company mobile.
I still have a lot of mobile signal problems, but I suppose for what I spend online it isn't going to be too much of a problem.
Was in Dublin and through customs on Sunday morning 10.26am?
I should have said it’s with an post at the sorting office in Dublin
They use verification through the mobile app so once you have internet it's fine, that's how I verify all my payments due to no mobile signal like yourself.
My last one from An Post had a return address in Dublin, "Yucan-fulfillment service for Temu, 508B........D15A276", so getting from Airport/Customs to there and then relabeled for An Post probably adds at least a working day to delivery.
Update on this Temu order today for anyone waiting on stuff. Apparently it re-emerged from the Dublin Airport blackhole and cleared customs yesterday and today it is with the esteemed courier company Slow-way for delivery. Got the 5 euro credit and full refund so I now have free stuff to look forward to 😁 although given the courier its with, I won't be holding my breath. Unfortunately I reordered the stuff since my quoted post and that package arrived with An Post on Monday.
I got a lost and refunded package pop up as transferred to Fastway today too
The 20% off on request and re-instatement of expired coupons - is that by asking the chat bot?
Has anyone any recommendation of interdental brushes from temu?
