Faro region at Easter.

Hi all, has anyone gone to the Faro region around Easter time. Is the weather generally OK, I mean warm enough to get out and about in shorts and t shirts etc.

Also, is there any place anyone would recommend for 2 adults and one child. Somewhere that won't break the bank for 5 nights from Monday 01st to Sat 06th. I know it's Easter, and prices are mad, the flghts are nuts as it is. 😩😩

Go East to the Spanish frontier on the Guadiana river. Vila Real de Santo Antonio is a pleasant town with an hourly ferry across the river to Ayamonte in Spain. Nearby resort town of Monte Gordo is a pleasant walk or cycle away. No ndrunken yobbos, cheap restaurants, huge wide sandy beaches.

Leave the mass tourist scene behind. Weather is a bit better the farther east you go, away from the Atlantic.

One option might be that you hire a car and drive over the border to the nearby Costa de la Luz, it’s really very nice there. I was told by a local that the nicest weather is in March. It’s an absolutely charming area where people from the Algarve go on their breaks.

That’s exactly where Faro is albeit the Faro beaches are on an island.

Agree with this. Less touristy and more tradition to be found going east. Somewhere like Tavira is a good shout and shouldn’t break the bank.
