I wouldn't be believing any polls either way. There'll be one done tomorrow that says the opposite, that Trump is so far ahead that he's already president.
They are the most unreliable source of information you can point to, either way.
I'd stick with what we know from the last few years, that trump is popular with his cult, that Republicans will back their man regardless if it ends their country, which means that Trump has a very real shot of getting back in, but that overall (as evidenced in most recent elections and mid-terms) that things are trending towards the Democrats.
"Trump’s claim for damages had been made outside the six-year period of “limitations”
Seems his British based lawyers are about as capable as his US ones. Although the former probably aren't in danger of losing their law licenses when proceedings are finished.
As soon as it becomes politically fashionable there will be a swing away from Trump. There will always be his brainless base and a few die-hard politicians but the move has already started. Provided no-one gets complacent I don't think he will do much next November.
So much WINNING.
Biden is down in a lot of the swing states tbf also in a poll posted Yesterday.
Polls probably shouldn't be over analyzed at the moment as election still near 10 months away and numerous things can happen before then, but its clearly going to be really close.

Looks like 45 is having cognitive issues once more..
There's a certain amount of support which follows the "strong horse". All these legal travails does not make Trump look like a "strong horse" but a busted flush.
Yeah this one right here.
They’re falling over themselves that a pop star is political when she’s not for their guy and she should just shut up and sing TM but Ted Nugent can sing a cringe song on Fox News about shooting Obama and he’s their folk hero. If these right wing lunatics didn’t have double standards they’d have no standards at all. Watch their TSwift freak outs then watch Ted Nugent and Fox defending him (Ft Fox News flipping out about Common during the Obama WH)
they LOVE it when sports are political too - when it’s for them:
The blatant hypocrisy is part of the grift though, their network gets free coverage of their hypocrisy and any publicity is good publicity TM
I'd be so bold as to suggest it's also boilerplate misogyny for them; cos you'll notice more often than not the outrage and anger is twice-fold when the political opinion emanates from a woman - and not just any female celebrity either, but a super-successful and conventionally beautiful one in this instance. White, blonde and relatively "wholesome" n' all; so of course the American Right is spun into apoplexy at the idea of Swift having any opinion that might suggest a degree of liberalism or critical thought. Or anything that in't falling into line with King Trump's world-view.
The American Right doesn't try very hard to demonstrate its systemic distrust and hatred of women. And those who scream loudest are usually women functioning as the Aunt Lydia in the equation. CPAC has shown the steps to removing the vote for women aren't that numerous.
And remember it's MUCH harder to defend a libel case in the UK as the onus is on the defendant to prove that they didn't libel the person rather than the person having to show they were libeled.
So the UK telling him to go whistle just shows how utterly baseless the claim was.
I'm no Haley fan but she's right about the debate issue. Candidates should be forced to go out onto a stage and debate their opponent(s) before they can continue as candidates. Obviously it wouldn't suit the GOP to introduce this as Trump is going doolally but for transparency and the benefit of the voter, both parties should have this rule.
Whilst there's always an element of misogyny and/or racism in the things they say , it's also just the fact that they just don't like people using their platforms to call them out on their bullsh!t.
See Green Day a while back - All the Right wing mouth pieces were complaining and telling them to "stick to the music" and "stay out of politics" etc. but when Kid Rock or Ted Nugent or whoever do EXACTLY the same thing (but in support of RW views) at one of their concerts they don't say a word.
I mean Kid Rock released a song called "We the people" with lyrics like "F*ck Fauci" and "Let's go Brandon" in the chorus. Where were Fox News telling him to "stick to the music" ??
It's "One rule for me and another for thee" with these guys , all the time.
Speaking of Jon Voight - to the rescue!?
And Dark Brandon trolls Trump on Troth Social about his cognitive decline:
Trump's war chests are running low
I haven't looked into this, but it seems to me the FEC should be very interested in TFG using donations to his campaign, to defray his personal legal expenses. I suppose if you donate you probably tick a box that says, "THis money can be used by TFG for anything he wants," but still, "masquerading" as donations to a political campaign seems, well, fishy.
I guess his megadonors, whoever's left, don't really care as long as they get the SCOTUS judges they want deciding in his favor.
The PAC spent $110.5K on Melania's stylist Herve Pierre Braillard and she has only been seen with him in public something like twice in the last year.
And MAGA's supportors throw money at him for this.
Fiscal Responsibility TM
She got also go paid $155k or for "designing the table settings " for a dinner at Mar-a-Lago.
It's a grift and always will be.
Republicans in Oregon learning they can't just stomp their feet and get their way, they actually have to legislate and debate and win arguments to legislate
SALEM, Ore. (AP) — The Oregon Supreme Court said Thursday that 10 Republican state senators who staged a record-long walkout last year to stall bills on abortion, transgender health care and gun rights cannot run for reelection.
The decision upholds the secretary of state’s decision to disqualify the senators from the ballot under a voter-approved measure aimed at stopping such boycotts. Measure 113, passed by voters in 2022, amended the state constitution to bar lawmakers from reelection if they have more than 10 unexcused absences.
Last year’s boycott lasted six weeks — the longest in state history — and paralyzed the legislative session, stalling hundreds of bills.
Five lawmakers sued over the secretary of state’s decision — Sens. Tim Knopp, Daniel Bonham, Suzanne Weber, Dennis Linthicum and Lynn Findley. They were among the 10 GOP senators who racked up more than 10 absences.
Armchair opinion (obviously) but the Biden camp need to make Trump as angry as they possibly can. This will in turn make his base mad as well as the Trump-supporting media sphere. I think this will have an effect of diminishing returns in terms of increasing the pro-Trump vote as Trump gets crazier and crazier and more distracted by tangential issues, but will electrify the vote against him as he reminds America, for free, just how crazy and dangerous he is.
If Trump's style of politics were a form of boxing, it would be wild, clubbing haymakers. He needs to receive well-placed shots to the chin(s) in retaliation.
Surely knowing he was going to be hamstrung by legal costs is part of Haley's calculs? She is still outraising him and will likely continue to. I'd hazard that her team are looking to bleed Trump out of the race🤔
The big donors are sick and tired of not winning
Trump's a billionaire though. He can always fund it himself as he finds the MAGA cause so important...
If that is a transparent and successful tactic it could turn independents against the Dems(they already know how to block their noses and still vote for him)
It is a good tactic though for Haley as she is the David to his Goliath (and it is great entertainment plus she seems to be good at it)
………..
The key is passive aggression. Things can be done to make Trump angry and flustered that aren't coming directly from Biden. We can see how MAGA is melting down at the prospect of a Taylor Swift endorsement, for example. Collect all the things which personally hurt Trump and plant stories about them in the media, and sit back and watch while Trump rants endlessly about them at his rallies, turning off independents in droves.
Me, waiting on the decision in the Manhattan fraud case....
Yeah it was expected yesterday, dunno what's going on.
I guess there's been hiccups in their anticipation to have it done by the end of January
Would think Eric skimmed 200k off these 2 bills.
