No it's there in black and white....
Well, if you cant buy stuff for 1000 yoyos directly, you can bypass it, but will pay a lot more on top of that. Less income on gas and oil, add extra expenses on military and you have wayyyy less spare cash.
But yeah, sanctions do not work... LOL
Russians using night fpv
"They", "people"? The sanctions have shrunk the russian economy in key sectors so if you know otherwise profer the evidence instead of talking of individuals. The economy is demonstrably in serious decline.
Discontent in Russia
Prob hes talking about orban or other pro-russians in EU, pretty sure he won't find any other EU people who want sanctions removed
Fantastic then more sanctions won’t hurt
This happened to my wife's family in WWII after they were sent to Gulags in Siberia and Kazakhstan. Her grandfather returned to Poland after 5 years but he never saw his sisters again. They had kids and were forced Russify them with Russian names etc. What they experienced and had to endure is beyond belief.
We have no idea how good we have it.
Really not a good look of the US abandons Ukraine now.
All the talk of staying with them until the end.
Would prove Putinbots were right when they said the US are just using Ukraine as a proxy to weaken Russia.
I'd say without question every poster on here longs for the day when Russia truely pays it's debts to all who suffered and their families alive today.
Someone got shot in Mordor
You haven't addressed the point raised that various inc Biden have pointed out, that NATO inc US forces will be dragged in. Maybe it's inevitable and this slow escalation is all part of the plan.
They (whoever they is) shot that person and took whatever bags were in the car and sped off.
There maybe no choice if Ukraine can't do it ,then others will have to do it for them.
More on the Artillery shell supply it seems the 300,000 delivered as part of the promised 1 million rounds promised by the EU came from South Korea and not the EU ,
So much for the massive increase in European production we've been told about since last year .
That might be necessary.
America would have enough resources alone in Europe to finish the Russians.
It isn't going to happen though.
If they wanted Russia beaten they would have given the Ukrainian forces what they needed. They didn't.
Nasty actors like Putin, Hamas, Hezbollah, China, Iran etc are all going to be steadily emboldened by this.
If you scratch beyond the surface, certainly in the automotive industry, reduced demand is resulting in cuts to production volumes rather than input costs.
VW seems to be cutting prices on its EVs significantly, a category that should be seeing growth, in an attempt to stimulate sales.
By all accounts Russia has stepped up production of their glide bomb add-on kits.
When they introduced them in Mar/Apr they were dropping a max of 20 per day. Now they drop as many as 100 per day. They use them with 250kg and 500kg bombs. Lately they've been using the RBK-500 a lot, which is a 500kg cluster bomb. I haven't been able to confirm whether they are using the glide-kit with 1500kg bombs yet but that's planned.
They are apparently not very accurate but still causing a lot of problems for Ukraine due to the number and size.
The kits have some Western components in the guidance system so the fact Russia is able to ramp up despite all the sanctions is quite troubling. They basically have an endless supply of the dumb bombs which they're converting.
Of course people find a way to "avoid" sanctions. But this comes with a cost. Russia may get sanctioned goods, but not in the same quantity as before, and not at the same price. You just keep the squeeze on them and adjust things in response to sanctions-dodging. You don't just give up.
By endless will these dump bombs run out in 2 years like arty ammo did from their Russian stockpiles or are we talking 10 years here? This has been a major advantage to Russia and it will only decrease after western fighter jets, more patriots and longer range missiles arrive with permission to hit Russian bases in Russia itself.
In hindsight I think Ukraine was smart to hold back a lot of the western equipment they receive when their summer strategy clearly wasn't working. I can't help but feel they'll have better results next summer but only with western jet's. Otherwise they might aswell just stay in defense.
A new date to watch.
The comedy sketch Vlad “we didn’t like ye anyway” Putin or Vlad “I’m happy I wasn’t asked to the wedding” Putin is attempting among many of his superpowers to rewrite basic economics.
Vlad will be offering a special SSIA scheme next to offer Russians a special method of getting a slice of the 15% interest rate he has generated for all the people with surplus cash in an economy with close to 7,5% inflation.
Sanctions are not working they said
“The S7 Boeing 737 returned to Tolmachevo due to both engines failing this morning. On takeoff, passengers heard the sounds of explosions and saw flames from the turbines, the transportation prosecutor's office said. “
The Russian GDP isnt sustainable real growth it is just eating itself in defence spending and smoke and mirrors. Potemkin economics.
The figures are self reported too,
if anyone here thinks that Russian economy is doing well let them put their savings and pensions where their mouths are and see if they become rich of those 15% interest or other investments in the criminal regime.
Perfect apparently is the enemy of Good, if you believe some around here; because "they" are escaping sanctions it means the crippling blows to the actual economy are not worth it.
How do you know what they wanted? Or are you simply a proponent of shutting down discussion so only one narrative gets heard?
Let's be honest. Labelling posters 'Putinbots' is pathetically childish. But it seems to give lots of posters on here their kicks. The irony in their use of the phrase is gloriously lost on them.
That looks like an economy eating itself.
Buying stuff that is sanctioned I guess costs more than it did before the war. I recall seeing they were out of petrol and diesel as the profits made seliing its abroad were greater. If you add in a devaluing rouble then an IPhone or Nike runners become really expensive as does medicine or anything else not made there.
