It's a mini for "Haves", equivalent of a very posh handbag. The size is similar too.
Have you ever thought: "I wonder what a $150,000 classic Mini would be like?"
It reads like EVs act like Christine when approached 🥱
What an odd piece of kit.
How do they get the chargeport open on the car?
Will they shout "Open your butthole" repeatedly or just force it open?
Looks like it connects to charging port on the car, car thinks it's charging and prevents car driving. Or that's my take on it? Either that or it charges the car from a couple of AA batteries!
Found a link to details
It depends on what you are looking for. I used to drive an e-Up! with a usable 16kWh battery. Cold motorway range according to EVDB is 65km, car suited my use case perfectly city commuting so wasn't a bother.
The e2008 is likely going to be used ferrying kids around. Not every car needs to be a motorway mileage muncher, it's good that their options out there. If your spending 99% of your time operating within home charging range then I'd rather have a smaller battery which is cheaper than something bigger and put up with the cost of a motorway rapid charge those few times when it's needed.
To me it would be like a person buying an off-roader because they park in a field a couple of times a year at a music festival, kind of pointless.
63000 miles would explain the difference maybe?
190kms range is pretty poor btw.
Does anyone know if the VRT relief for EV’s is ending this year? After some light reading on Revenue it seems like it is.
Charging costs are way too high if you're not charging from home. They're so high that anyone who doesn't have home charging would be taking a real financial hit over an equivalent in price/size diesel in "fuel" costs alone. Those without driveways should have better, more affordable charging options. I love my EV but without a home charger and a good rate they're just unworkable for many and that's not OK. The rest of your man's rant is Brexity/ Daily Mail style rubbish. His use of the term milk float is telling.
1 year later than planned, and they hit the target number. Thread on it here https://www.boards.ie/discussion/2058321829/ev-tolls-discount-may-end-dec-31-2023#latest
It was always going to happen but I’m surprised they’re ending the EV toll discounts so quickly, considering barely 4-5% of the national fleet is an EV

It's become very fashionable lately to have a moan about en-route charging prices in the UK. There was a whole thread (https://www.boards.ie/discussion/2058320844/ev-long-distance-versus-14-year-old-diesel) on a long distance trip, I guess a bit of controversy is good for engagement so everyone is jumping on the bandwagon.
I find ev-database (https://ev-database.org/car/1584/Peugeot-e-2008-SUV)to be a reasonably accurate 3rd party website, they put the motorway cold weather range of an e2008 at around 190km.
Whilst it pretty obvious that this guy doesn't value nor appreciate EV's does he still have a point?
Stg£31 and 40+ minutes for under 100 miles of range sounds horrendous.
I'm sure a Peugeot 2008 is far from cutting edge but still........
Good article in Galway Adveriser, motoring correspondent Padraig Dean's retort to Ciaran Cuffes recent nonsense about electric SUV's(so called).

Those are charging status indicators on the bonnet, a nod to the vents on the original car. But probably won’t make the final product.
That’s actually sad. I’ve had a couple of them now.
BMW
No, please stay within the safety of the m50 at all times.......
☺️
Is there actual roads beyond the fiddy?
"..there be monsters and triple head chargers."
Don't think it really matters, if you're going on a long trip there are literally thousands of chargers dotted around the country. Probably Dublin as everyone knows Dubs don't go past the M50 😂
Moneypoint, to charge that leaf😏
Here's a debate. Best region to own an EV in whre you have a hime charger. My thoughts? Midlands. Shortest average trip. Even a drive to derry or cork can be done in a fully charged 62kv leaf.
One could argue that there isn't so much charging facilities rurally but again if you have a home charger and not that far to go, shouldn't be an issue. You can do a return trip to Dublin or Galway on a full battery
Because it’s fake 👀
Like fairy lights, one goes they all go😆
Pass through charging, only 1 car is plugged into the wall, the rest just connect to each other :D
There's also a bench in the middle of the path.
Stupid AI art.
I am not sure why some cars have 2 cables..
AUTONOMOUS, ELECTRIC YARD-TRUCKING
impressive stuff
“Currently, each remote teleoperator can control four trucks at any given time, and as autonomous technology is developed and enhanced, Fernride is on a mission to increase this ratio.
The electric trucks are also reducing environmental impact — the global supply chain accounts for more than 50% of annual greenhouse gas emissions. By using electric vehicles instead of diesel trucks, not only is the carbon footprint of every journey dramatically reduced, but also noise pollution and fuel costs too.”
