Have you been taking pain killers?
Have you been wearing tight underwear?
Did you engage in any major physical activity since?
Has it been the same since the procedure or getting better/getting worse?
Have stopped taking nurephon after about 3 days
Yes to tight underwear
No physical activity office worker
Has eased up since the surgery
I stopped taking the nurofen after 3 or 4 days. I felt a kind of dull pain after that and found that ejaculation helped with to ease that. I guess it relieves some of the pressure inside.
I'd suggest trying nurofen again for a day, and have a ride or a **** - some way to clear the pipes.
As long as the pain is progressively getting less, i wouldn't be too worried about still having some pain 1 week after the procedure.
Caveat is that I am not a medical doctor. If you are concerned, you should have the doctor's number and give him/her a call to discuss.
The first ride post op would be the acid test in terms of pain i would imagine.....
Well results were late. But got the all clear test drove the new toy. Reports from both sides all good looking forward to more
Congratulations! It's a great feeling.
Better you being late than your partner...lol
cheers gents. Final hurdle jumped.
Id lay off jumping hurdles for a while, thats prime nut hitting activity.
Hi lads, had mine done a few years back and would love to get verification that it's still effective... Has anyone gone about this and can recommend what to do?
Any update on this. Did the pain ease off? Any advice from the doctor?
Yes did indeed thankfully took about 3 1/2 weeks to clear up from day to day pain.
Having said that got a ball into the crown jewels there Tuesday night things were tender enough.
That's great that it cleared up.
🤣A ball in the balls is sore at any time, not to mind when they're recovering from a scalpel!
Lads is this reversible? Also any recommendations for somewhere in Kildare/Dublin area?
There is an operation to reverse it, but it is not guaranteed to be successful. If you are wondering about reversing it, it is probably not for you. You should consider it to be a permanent procedure.
keep up with the marches
Cheers, yeah something to consider. I'm 98% sure I'd go ahead with it 😅
As for recommendations, most people here have gone with Dr. John McCormack. I detailed my experience of it, starting here: https://www.boards.ie/discussion/comment/117767082/#Comment_117767082
There are lots of other recommendations for Dr. John on that page (and subsequent pages) also.
Got it done on Saturday by Dr. Richard Look Tong in Lucan. And honestly couldnt recommend him enough (granted its still early days ha!)
He said at the start of the procedure, that there was 3 steps that may incur a feeling.
Overall lads, getting a filling in the dentist is way more painful and awkward than this!
Walking around now with tight boxers filled with gauze .
Best of lucky to anyone thinking of getting it done, any questions feel free.
,
Had mine done in november, most painful bit so far has been the ingrowns in crotch area after shaving. Operation itself, the anesthetic is the worst bit as it feels like someone is flicking you on both balls. As said by others after that, you just feel like things are being moved around there but no pain.
Afterwards, Id describe the feeling as not painful, but like someone kicked you square in the balls super hard yesterday and there's a dull soreness but not sharp pain for me. Spent a few hours in bed but was up and moving around by dinnertime. Even with the soreness, still had sexual intercourse with a few days of it although I think they recommend no ejactulations for 5 days but I'm not good at patience.
For anyone worried about pain or anything after, right testicle felt swollen but not in pain for 2 weeks after and then calmed down, it seemed like this could happen reading online where it said recovery can take up to 2 weeks despite feeling able to do stuff even on the same day. Biggest pain after was my wee man running headfirst into my crotch when i got home, definitely doubled the pain XD
Edit: due to send sample next week, so looking like all done then if i get a good result
Lads, for those that sent a sample.
Did you just send it via post!! Looking online it say to hand it in to analysis asap, however the letter i have says send by post!
Little swimmers could be in there for a couple of days by the time there delivered!
Yep registered post
registered post, the swimmers if there are any can live for 5 days. So registered post is next day delivery. All should be grand and no swimmers.
Does the Catholic Church approve?
I hope not - as I enjoy not abiding by their rules 👍
Just had it done yesterday (the no-scalpel one). I'll admit I was nervous beforehand but thankfully there was no need. A trip to the dentist for a filling is way more uncomfortable. Rested up on the recliner for the remainder of the day. There was slight dull pain which 2 paracetamol sorted. Haven't had any pain this morning and back working (desk job).
Got the all clear text yesterday, only took 6 days (inc. the weekend)
Been on waiting list to get the op done in Blanchardstown. Due to high volume they've set me up with Kingsbridge Private in Belfast. Anyone any experience of this hospital, is it worth the 2hr e/w journey or should I try & defer?
Wouldnt be too happy with the sitting down on it for 2 hours in a car or train to be honest after. I drove home after mine, but lay down for the afternoon then with the ice pack.
Everyone is different but I drove home 2 hours after mine and was fine. Took paracetamol when I came out of the clinic, went and got food and then drove home about 30 mins later and had no issues.
Get yourself a ring / donut cushion for the journey. Feck what anyone thinks if you're on public transport. Still get 1 if you're driving yourself or being chauffeured.
