It's tied to your account in fairness. Isn't separate.
Exactly. It's directly linked to the adult account.
Ah nice one free extra card so 👌
While you get another card for free it can only access the balance in the U18 wallet/vault/pocket.
Yeah it's perfect for the woman and her weekly allowance. And she can't waste money on things like wine bars etc.
Will close the joint account as that gives too much control on the household funds and they are never contributing to it anways.
I didn't realize it was 1923, all this time I thought it was 2023.
Has anyone else still not received an Irish IBAN? I got an email about it in April but have heard nothing since then. I asked a few people about it and they all have the Irish IBAN now.
Me. Been with Rev since early days. My account transactions are very minor in amount, so while it would be nice,, even BOI get money to Rev on same day, if I do it before 14:00
Why not add money with your card? It's instant.....
@bren2001 Why not add money with your card? It's instant.
And now it's €200
Can someone explain to me how Revolut are able to offer up to €200 for a referral? That's crazy money altogether for an Irish bank!
Says up to €200 Doubt many will actually get that much
Seems like it’s a lucky dip. In the T&C’s it states
”Refer a friend and receive between €10 and €200“
Also the odds from the terms;
There's pretty strict rules in how to get the referral bonus too. The new customer has to do so many transactions in store I think.
Still a good deal and referral payments are common enough in other countries - like anything competitive....not in Ireland.
That's a massive cut in the referral bonus, it used to be €40-70 and now it's down to €21.50 on avg
True! I've a sibling who recently moved to Spain and they got €250 from a Spanish bank just for opening an account! A fee free account too, needless to say!
In the days of KBC students could get €100 too for opening an account
I would imagine it’s a mixture of expected future earnings like credit cards, loans, card fees paid by merchants, etc married with a VC desire to keep the growth rate high.
However there comes a point where all of these referral bonuses make it sound much more like a MLM (which is legal before anybody complaints) than a respectable bank, especially giving how some features clearly imply that you should refer friends before you can get off the waitlist.
There are still customers who get "you are already on the waitlist........ spread the news.... refer a friend" when trying to get features that are "fully launched".
Is it just me or have people noticed how slow Revolut has become to process a retail (POS) transaction using one of their cards?
Multiple locations this week in the UK and Ireland - I hold the card against the machine (car park, toll road, retail shop) and the display shows 'Processing ....' for an age before it finally gets approved. I have sterling and Euro accounts with enough in each to cover my spending so none of the transactions involved currency conversion.
I've been having issues all week with cards at POS but it's been both Revolut and PTSB cards, not limited to one or the other...
One of the travel perks for Irish peeps using Revolut Premium and higher has taken a hit. Dublin Airport lounges were dropped from lounge access. No plans to re-add Dublin.
Reasons to pay for it are getting worse and worse as time goes on.
It seems to take 2 or 3 days now to transfer from boi into revolut. I thought it used to only take a day or so before.
When did you make the transfer?
Friday I think, still waiting for it to arrive.
It's the weekend you will be waiting until Tuesday.
Yeah I reckon it’ll be in about 10:30/11 Tuesday morning. One working day.
I regularly transfer from a PTSB deposit account to Revolut. Only takes a couple hours - if done during banking hours.
That transfer arrived Mon morning approx 10am. So it took about a day and a half I guess because of wknd.
