Let’s be honest here. If Russia blockaded a Ukrainian city, blocking water, food, electricity, medicines and fuel everyone on here would be calling them war criminals of the highest order and losing their ****(I’m sure they would as well if the opportunity presented itself). Israel’s defence minister just declared this today. Half of Gaza’s residents are children. The Israeli government never had any moral authority to begin with. And what hamas did was vile before anyone goes off on that tangent. The double standards are breathtaking.
Russia have already been called extensively for their war crimes in Ukraine, Georgia,UK , Syria and Libya , Israel has been called out for war crimes

The real villains in the Israeli / Palestine conflict are the British empire. Promising both groups a homeland in the one territory. All blame leads back to them.

I’m a bit of an ignoramus when it comes to realpolitik and geopolitics. But can someone please tell me what is Israels “hold” over the USA? The yanks have already armed the Israelis to the absolute teeth , and if they asked for more tanks,ammo , aircraft, missiles etc, the Israelis would have them in the morning.
Yet when Ukraine ask for aircraft, modern tanks, etc. etc., , it’s always six months away or a year,or two years or whatever. Ukraine need this stuff NOW, yet watch the Israelis, who are already well stocked up, get the latest gear pronto! Can anyone tell me why this is ?? It’s not as if the Israelis have any oil .
israel/Palestine has less chance of kicking off world war 3 so the escalation factor is lower although that is debatable at this stage. But overall Ukraine/Russia is a more dangerous situation.
The Palestinians don’t have nukes therefore arming Israel to the teeth won’t bring a nuclear response. And if logic is applied then this Palestinian attack is absolute crazy stuff that has taken all analysts by surprise.

Ukrainians do not see themselves as being used. The initial western response was to do nothing really beyond token gestures. This was supposed to be a quick and easy win for Russia like crimea 2014. The script did not go to plan.
Just watch the Israeli situation too if there is no quick and decisive outcome there the Israelis will be told to get back in their box. Starving Palestinians to death won’t be tolerated for weeks and months on end.

A bit off topic here but the Syrian regime which is a staunch ally of Russia could be in danger. Which Russia almost completely focussed on Ukraine they wouldn't be able to stop an Israeli/American toppling of the government.
I'd imagine the threat alone will keep the Syrians on their best behaviour and not try take advantage of Israel while they're under attack.
For Ukraine it would work out better if this did happen and you never know what permutations will happen at the start of a war.

Its not getting lot of mainstream attention this week because of the Hamas shitshow, but the past week Russian armour has been suffering some absolutely staggering losses.
Losses that are not easily replaced.

Could China also see this as the perfect time to move on Taiwan. Ukraine/Isreal and Palestine/ US in political turmoil….. if the war spreads through the Middle East it might be more likely…. They probably won’t…

Depends. The Taiwan thing, the Taiwanese and allies have had time to be prepared and have everything in place for any action. It's been telephoned out too long. That preparedness will stay in place just in case no matter what.
One side knows the other will be using distractions elsewhere and not to fall for it or be sidetracked by it.
