I really dont see any major issue for drivers in Dundrum as part of these changes, other than not being able to park directly outside the chemist or the bank in the Main Street for free.
Just pay your 3 euro and walk your 5 or 10 mins from DTC, folks.

There wasn't any wholesale CARnage when paid parking or the one way system was installed in Dundrum.

It doesn't give rise to significant delays for the bus service as it is, and frankly I wouldn't be too worried about that.
The problem point for the buses is the loop from Taney Road, via Sydenham Road and Upper Kilmacud Road, which can see significant delays at certain times.
Changing Sydenham Road to one way southbound, and Upper Kilmacud Road east of Sydenham Road one way eastbound will remove a lot of the traffic that comes down the hill to the small crossroads in Dundrum. Given that it is at the start of the bus routes, minimising the potential delays at that location is the key to this.

I think there is no right turn there onto Main St, although people still do it.
But yes, that should help remove traffic into the village, which the business owners wont like of course.

Removing the ability of cars to drive directly from the junction with Overend Way down Kilmacud Road Upper should reduce traffic levels there which can impact on the bus routes.
Indeed, but the one-way was an imposed Covid era measure that was never rescinded and its one of the motivating factors behind resistance and mistrust around this proposed LAP.
And the paid parking was actually a demand of local residents themselves, back in 2001/02, to mitigate the pending arrival of DDTC and the Luas Green Line. They had no desire to see their on-street parking taken over with penny pinching shoppers and all-day commuters. And weren't they right!

The 75 won’t exist after the next phase of BusConnects when the southside orbitals are implemented (possibly at the end of next month) - it will be replaced by the L25 which will use Overend Way in both directions and the S6 which will use Taney Road in both directions.
These changes would happen alongside or shortly before the A-Spine implementation, probably sometime late next year, to facilitate the A-Spine routes A2 and A4 which will be operating at a combined frequency of every 6 minutes from Taney Road.
Just on the cost of parking, €3.30 is not bad for 3 hours parking - IF it was being charged at €1.10 per hour.
But it's not, as its a fixed rate for the first 0-3 hours.
So if you only stay for 30 minutes, it's still €3.30, and that is expensive, especially if someone has reason to go to DTC (or now the village) a couple of times a week.
(Not me, I'm not a fan of DTC, I'd rather keep going to Carrickmines Park. Its years since I've been in the village. Used to frequent Ryan's Pub once upon a lifetime ago.)

3.30 is the min charge at DTC, but its still cheap in that its the price of a coffee.

I dont know why the 75 goes that way, when it would be much more direct to DL to go straight along Wyckham Way and stop near Balally Luas, instead of Dundrum Luas.
Pretty much everyone getting off the 75 at Dundrum is probably going to DTC anyway, which means they have to walk back up through the old village and that detour by the 75 must put an extra 10 mins or so on the journey to DL vs going via Wyckham Way.

I am a blue badge holder, so I don't bother with places that don't facilitate parking closeby.
I don't object to paying for parking per se, but €3.30 for somewhere I might only stay for 30 minutes is expensive. (Blue badge parking is only free in council car parks or on the public road).

They can get off at the bridge, but it would be quicker to DL if the bus went via Balally and DTC passengers got off on Wyckham Way.
That would be faster for passengers going to both DTC and DL.
The Dundrum terminus seems like a dog leg that deviates from the Tallaght to DL linear route & slows up the journey considerably.
I was hoping the L25 would be more direct than the 75, essentially.
