a yellow scratch card will be available on your app 'home page' if you shop at Lidl and pay at least 1c* for your shopping - sometime will be available straight away, sometimes takes hours to show up
@offtopic : seems the cheapo ( 99c ) cream cheese spread is out of stock on 2 shops i checked [ the 1.39 variant was available , as a backup ) ; i hope it' doesn't return on the shelves as €1.09
Just opened the app and it’s telling me my store is in a test area. I can collect points every time I shop. And then at the end of each month you can exchange your points for something. 25 points for every euro spent.
Has this happened anywhere else in Europe?

Ugh - this will put a stop to my game! I can see why it would make more sense for Lidl though.
I live very near a store, and visit almost every day. Consequently, I have been consistently having a €3 off €30 coupon for my weekly shop...which usually amounts to less than €35. I try to time my visits to check out the 'Waste Not' offers, and have certainly embraced the meat and salad ones.
On most visits I spend very little. Today I spent 45c on a packet of biscuits, availed of the free Squeezy Yoghurt offer (worth €1.29), and earned myself the €3 off €30 voucher that I'll use tomorrow.
Back in the day, when Lidl had the Weekend Specials, with a maximum of 10 per customer, I bulk bought. On one weekend, I went into various Lidl's and got 5 lots of 10 of their filter coffee. That coffee must have lasted me almost 2 years. And then there was the Prosecco offer...ah, those were the days!
My habit is so bad (or good?) that when our kitchen was getting done up, my husband worried that there wasn't enough storage. I told him 'no, Lidl don't do the '10 per customer' half-price offers anymore, we have enough room for our food now'.
If this new system comes on board, I'm going to be seeing a lot less of Lidl in the week. I suppose I could try getting a life..😂
Edited to say if you think I'm bad....when the Prosecco offer was on, a lady in the queue told me she was going out to her car to change her jacket, so that she could come back in again and get another 6 bottles...she was afraid she'd be picked up on the CCTV going through the check-out twice. 😁

I think we are all quite like minded in our determination to avail of the Lidl Plus offers!.
The staff at mine give me a wry smile these days knowing half my bill is about to disappear.
I'm sure they are used to the regular free offers appearing on the till but the Parkrun isn't as common I feel.
I had about three free items and two discount vouchers stacked one day. 9 euro turned into 3 when I scanned.
And by the looks of it you have to shop in ‘your store’. I went to another lidl there and didn’t get any points!
Carrots are 39c/1kg for the past week. This is an excellent bargain. Hope yis stocked up

Currently in Spain, spend 60euro get free sauce , 120euro free washing up liquid ,180euro to get cashews (same ones we were getting free from Parkrun 🤣) spend 250 get 10% next shop
The new version they are trying just as the extra step of points which makes it not as transparent how much you need to spend

Maybe we've been spoilt in Ireland, but Lidl has to offer something to compete with those Dunnes vouchers.
Ya exactly, the dunnes vouchers make dunnes better value on larger shops.
It's kind of sneaky the way they have done the points thing here, if you don't stop and think about it you don't realise how much you need to spend to get the freebie, and I can see it catching busy family's who don't have time to calculate there shopping
Way too much hassle unless you do large amounts of shopping in Lidl.
Since I installed the plus app, Lidl has become my main shop, used to be Aldi.
But if they change this to points I'll probably start going back to Aldi.
Lidl plus was the only good loyalty rewards system, nearly always got something.
For me this was a great incentive to go for the Lidl product, even if I slightly preferred another store's product.
Personally I don’t think Lidl plus is not good unless it’s €3 Off €30
I just shop there to graze the offers like aldi and Tesco occasionally
I find Dunnes too expensive for what we eat and the €10 off €50 has been factored into the pricing in my opinion
Do the points expire?
In the UK I believe they have a bar that they need to fill up every week or month or something to get set items.
If the points don't expire for say a year or something it would be less bad, you could be doing your normal weekly shops (for one or two poeple) and after a couple of months have a yogurt you hadn't been aiming for specifically.
It says "points CAN be exchanged after 31 days ", so I don't if they expire or not
