Yes, very strange. It was one feature I really liked when I had my ID.3.
"electric drive error. Please visit workshop"....
Probably go away on it's own. I wouldn't worry about it. It's a fairly common error that amounts to nothing.
Thanks, I did Google it and seems like it could be nothing, hopefully!
Could any of you Id.3 owners in the south east with solar recommend me a good installer by pm? Just off energia day night rate and really need to get the skates on with solar installation.
@eagerv and @ELM327 might be able to help.
I got a quote from the people that did @DrPhilG and it looks good but I can’t find them on the list of registered installers.
So, I sent Ken a message to ask him what's the story. He says that it's an issue with the SEAI site. There's some counties missingfrom the list, eg; Fermanagh... He said that it'll be sorted shortly.
I wouldn't have any worries about them tbh.
If you have concerns, then look to only pay whatever the nett amount is,after the grant.
Thanks so much. I’ll follow it up on my end with seai too. That website should really be up to date.
I can reccomend NOT using solarplus. They did my install and, while the head honcho was ok, the electrician was awful.
Id3 here over 40K
In China a bit over 15K euros
😂
AHH will ya stop...
Did they make a mess of it?
Pinergy Solar Electric Enniscorthy. Installed solar panel system for me a few years ago. Good company to deal with.
Just off the phone with them and you are right they are excellent to deal with. At it a long time too.
They were Solar Electric Ireland for a long time before Pinergy got involved. Probably the first installer I heard of, used to do a lot of Germany equipment including SMA.
They also have lots of ID.3 cars. With white boots which makes them look unusual.
I had my 2 year service last week. Afterwards I noticed that the checklist didn’t include a brake fluid change, even though VW state it and the pollen filter should be changed after 2 years/ 30k.
When I asked, the service manager said it was an inspection only ‘service.’ Is this correct? Seems a bit odd.
Any car I had, not EV admittedly, required a brake fluid change after 3 years.
Same, but VW say every 2 years for ID models.

The EV service is a basic health check, the pollen filter and brake fluid are separate service items. How much did the service cost? Strange they didn't tell you they were due when booking the car in.
Does your report say they scanned any battery modules or anything?
My service plan included 4 tyres, wipers , filter , brake fluid and I think pads
I’m on a 3 year service plan which includes 4 tyres, the pollen filter and a brake fluid change.
I booked it based on info on VW site and the dealer confirmed 2 year was due when I called (I didn’t ask them what it included).
It was previously back for the recall/ battery check so that had been completed.
The report mentioned lots of ICE stuff was checked (exhaust, etc.), the pollen filter, but not the brakes.
Those with service plans bringing their cars in at 2 years, have you paid anything? I see VW list the EV service for €170 (depending on dealer). Do you need to pay this when bringing it in? The service plan mentions what parts are included but no mention of the actual service/health check itself.
I don't particularly want to pay ~€170 when the general health check is free for ICE vehicles. I hear it includes a visual inspection of the charge port which doesn't mean much for that price.
No, I didn’t pay anything as I was told the service plan covered it when I signed up.
The link I posted above shows what the 2 year service should include. I assume that’s why it costs €170 if not covered by a service plan.
Has anyone else had the brake fluid changed as part of the 2 year service and If not, when did they schedule the next service? I was told 2 years time, which seems like a long time to wait for a brake check/ fluid change. Maybe they're assuming that I'll be trading in at the end of PCP.
I have the SP. Brake fluid was changed as per the T&Cs of the SP.
i.e At 2yr mark
Unless your T&Cs say anything different I’d be complaining. Check the fine print, you should have received that when you signed up.
Thanks, that’s good to know. The plan I’m on includes brake fluid but I’ll check the t+c.
What is your definition of a Bog Hopper? Is it someone who doesn’t live in a crime ridden county such as Dublin? Or someone who calls their partner in life “the wife”
Another boring golf. That would be my definition.
Don’t have one myself, wasn’t asking you either.
