Even on Donegal roads lol?
Mine has 91k on it and has developed a rattle on front passenger side, think its prob a suspension issue. But I'm guessing im out of warranty anyone able to say for definite?
TIA
Sounds like you traded just in time. Further drops likely as supply has finally caught up with demand. Used stock now coming in from the UK could dent residuals further. More than 200 used ID.3’s listed on DoneDeal at the minute.
Our air con seems to have stopped working all of a sudden. Was fine in France a few weeks ago. Not sure if it will be covered under warranty either.
we have the car two years this week.
If I am reading this right you are showing a low average speed of 26km/hrs corresponding to your impressive efficiency of nearly 8km/kWh - my experience of the M50 is that to keep up with the traffic you need to be doing at least 80kph if not 90kph. This would suggest you are doing a lot more city driving over M50 driving or am I missing something. You are right about range anxiety- isn't a big issue in a small country. I fairly routinely do a return Sligo/Dublin trip and I destination charge at my friend's house overnight. I would say though that we could do with a big charging hub somewhere on the middle of the route- e.g something like the new esb installation in Tipperary with 4 chargers capable of charging 8 cars at a time..................especially as EVs are getting a lot more popular on the road
How old is it?
The warranty is 2yrs unlimited mileage or 3yrs limited to 90k km’s so if it’s less that 2yrs old you are still in warranty.
They might play hard ball and say you hit pot holes and hence not covered but worth asking anyway.
Its a 212, so as I thought its out! I have a local Indy prob just get him to put it up on his lift and check it out, Thanks for the clarification!
Should be covered under warranty but if it’s physically damaged they’ll want you yo pick up the tab. (Condenser can often get punctured by a small stone entering through a grille or opening in the front bumper)
When in 212? Its based on date of sale. If it was sold, say, in Oct 2021 then it is still under the 2yr unlimited mileage warranty. Check your registration sheet to get the date of registration.
Like Joe said they may or may not cover that depending on what's actually wrong.
I had a Kia under warranty a while back and it lost its a/c gas within warranty (<4yrs actually) and they wouldn't cover it.
Always worth asking, if the dealer is good and interested in your repeat business they might push to get it covered.
It’s booked in with dealer but couldn’t get a slot before September!
Why wouldn't AC be covered under warranty? We have an almost 6 year old Golf in the household and AC works as good as day 1. Surely it's either leaking or it isn't? Although if you keep it off then the system won't be lubricated or whatever and will cause issues and that seems to be a habit among EV drivers.
Why wouldn't AC be covered under warranty?
I thought the same but the dealer wasn't for changing. They considered the gas as being a consumable item. They checked for leaks and didn't find any (apparently) and they considered it non-warranty item as it was just re-gassing. Obviously if there was a leak they would cover that and the gas under warranty then.
I wouldn't be one for accepting an immediate no for warranty, I've successfully fought a few warranty battles but Kia weren't for changing and it was small money so I just rolled with it. I also had a tracking bolt seize and they wouldn't cover that either as they said the tyre guy rounded it when trying to open it. So much for their 7yr warranty! I didn't buy another Kia!
Our ac is on all the time so that’s not it anyway.
Since I got the Id.3 back from a service, the wing mirrors no longer close in when i lock the car. Any ideas? Is it a setting I can check?
Yes, somewhere in the menu under the Vehicle button. Can't remember exactly where
I sold my 202 ID.3 1st for 29k at the end of Feb. It was advertised by the dealer with a 5.5k mark up. Its still unsold and I can make 2.2k if I buy it now.
Just booked in with VW for the battery recall check.
Theyve confirmed that the drop link will be covered under warranty.
It's official according to my dealer.
ID LIGHT deleted on new ID3 😭
That really is a shame.
Really? Got a link?
Nope but I don't 100% believe it,I'm gonna actually open the cover and look see if it's physically there ,if so some clever so and so somewhere will work out how to sort it
Is that on the face-lift model only?
Yes facelift only
So......
The light is still physically there,I haven't given up hope.....
Is it not an add-on as part of an option package?
Why would they dump something that is useful (if for nothing else than the bright red warning light) and a signature part of the original car?
According to this (German) thread, it's an option as part of the Assistance Plus package. At least in Germany: https://www.meinid.com/thread/5835-id-light-geh%C3%B6rt-zur-serienausstattung/
strange that VW would make a key part of their original ID marketing a paid extra. It could be a software glitch which will be fixed eventually. The 3.2 update added dual zone + air care, with voice control, to mine!
What is this I.D3 light? Is it inside or outside the car? Reminds me of the famous Wolseley dash and grille light, looked nice in fairness.
It's inside the car. It runs across the bottom of the windscreen and can light up lot's of different colours. Green to indicate charging level, Red for danger, if it detected an obstacle on front of you, Blue would show turn directions when the navigation was on etc...
That's sounds cool, strange they disabled it.
