When you actually look at the question that was asked and the answers given to cause this headline. And I'm paraphrasing here:
48%: We should be doing MORE
51%: We should be doing less/ We are currently doing enough.
Contained within that 51% is people who DO actually support Ukraine. If even 3% of that 51%(It will not be this low) are in the "Currently doing enough" camp then the headline COULD read.
Majority of Americans support current amount or MORE aid to Ukraine.
CNN chose to lump them in with the former. Thus spawning the negative title. I don't think i need to explain why CNN, obsessed with ratings and clicks, would prefer an alarmist negative title over a positive one now do I?

I'm actually surprised at the support in the US, I thought it would wear thin after a few months of the war. Likewise I thought the GOP would quickly fall in line with Trump/DeSantis but there's still a relatively decent chunk of Republicans who support Ukraine. Naturally it's going to diminish as time goes on, but that just seems to be occurring at a slower pace.

Fascists and right-wing politics are trying to rebadge itself as some friendly, faux-centrist alternative & need to be rooted out and bumped by the polls & electorate. So if AfD suddenly taking a pro-Putin stand sinks their electability, that's fantastic.
I'm afraid it won't sink their electability at all, certainly not in parts of east Germany. The AfD has been pretty successful in replacing the Linkspartei as the party of choice for a lot of the former SED faithful and their descendants, particularly in the areas in Thuringia, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt known as the "Tal der Ahnungslosen", literally the valley of the clueless. The nickname comes from the fact that this area was one of the few areas of the former GDR that was mostly shielded from west German radio and TV broadcasts due to a combination of geography and distance from the inner-German border.
Ironically, this was also the first area where the NSDAP gained actual political power back in the 1920s, so there does seem to be a certain predisposition towards fascism in that area.

This is why the West need to provide the absolute best weapons to Ukraine and in sufficient quantity. If Russia continues to mobilise Ukraine will need to maintain a pretty big kill to death ratio to outlast Russia.

unless you have specifics this is just wishful thinking and not actual useful analysis. On tech overall, it seems like an even conflict . it really comes down to the number of men you can conscript, and the glaringly obvious point is that Russia has more than 3 times the population of Ukraine. There has to be a worry that Ukraine will exhaust itsself while Russia could launch its own offensive in the new year.
