In fairness I foolishly took a spoonful of it. The panic and pain. It was so bad I thought I was going to end up in a+e.
Don't be like this guy. RESPECT the capsaicin.
Where did you source those from?
The Purple Onion, Tarmonbarry Village
Loving Belfastard by Blackfire - company based in Belfast.
It has Carolina Reapers in it, so certainly packs an immediate punch, but it's nicely balanced out with peppers and apple cider vinegar. Plenty of heat, but just not heat for the sake of it.
Got the blurb at Taste of Dublin, but they grow their own peppers, vinegar is from Armagh, seaweed and salt from the west coast etc. 7
Lovely stuff.
Has anyone tried Haggard Wolf?

Slow down lads, i'm never going to get to try all these sauces!
You sure?
Made this last week. So good. Great with bbq chicken, in burgers, wraps, even on eggs. Its hot but not too hot and you can actually taste the chilis.
Needed a little more time to cook the carrot though.
Contradicting my previous post, has anyone tried Rock A Doodle Do? Another Belfast based one. https://www.rockadoodledo.com/
I just noticed this thread... lots of good suggestions, but I skipped a few older pages.
I love this hot sauce, I add it to scrambled eggs, and my bolognese sauce.
You need to build up a tolerance to it. but it is incredible. I haven't seen it in this country, but I am out of the country a lot when I pick it up.
It's available from Mr. Bells in Cork, and online.
I have the Bulls-Eye Carolina Reaper sauce. It is is simply too hot. However, I came up with a hack. I add about 2-3 drops to about a tablespoon of tomato ketchup and mix it in well. This makes for a tollerably hot sauce with great flavour. I thought Carolina Reaper would just be so hot as to just be a heat gimmick and little else but it actually is incredibly flavoursome if you detune it a bit.
Mic's Chilli have a 30% off sale across the whole range until 31st August: https://www.micschilli.com/webstore
again, apologies for not going back through the thread, but any recommendations of the sauces on sale here?
The Inferno original and the foam and fury are both excellent.
I've only tried the Inferno range and liked them all.
I would prefer a taster of the Galway Bay Brewery ones first before i'd commit to buying one as i'm not a fan of alcohol flavours in food (i know, i'm an unrefined yob).
Something like Mic's where he does a wide spectrum of heat might be an idea to slowly build up tolerance.
Of Foam and Fury is an excellent all-rounder. Naga Knockdown and Trouble in Trinidad are both delicious but very hot.
Brought these home from Mexico a few weeks ago. They're flippin' hot, but with loads of fruit and flavour.
And I would like the record to note that I am not a "hot sauce in the fridge" person, that is my boyfriend's inexplicable foible...
Inferno Original and Extreme, Foam and Fury and their BBQ Sauce are excellent.
Above Inferno, you need a strong enough stomach. I bought quite a lot of the Emerald Jalapeno and am struggling with it. I have some Voodoo Reaper and it's lethal.
I've tried all the weaker stuff as well. I wouldn't recommend the Ostara unless you like stout.
I've seen that brand sold here (not sure about the exact types).
Lovely fruity flavour in the roasted habanero. Fairly hot to my taste buds, those ones could well be hotter 😜
Bought a few bottles of Mic's as I posted, and it's nice but.......I'm going to start making my own, lots of YT videos on it.
I used to make my own chili oil years ago, it worked, but it's limited in it's application.
I fancy giving mango, pineapple and such ingredients as a background flavour to the hot sauce. We'll see.......
I'd highly recommend making a fermented hot sauce if going that route.
Just on the Mics, the Trouble in Trinidad is gorgeous, lovely and flavoursome.
Not a hot sauce but the Eddie rockets Cajun sauce is lovely on a few wings.
This is never not in my fridge
Thanks for posting that, I was going to ask for a recipe.
Habaneros work great if you cant find scotch bonnets.
Felt very sorry for him. But that was hillarious
