The Ukranians appear to be saying themselves that a major Russian offensive has begun but there's little to go on yet.
You'd have to presume there is some truth to it. If the numbers of personell and weaponry being cited is remotely true, and I'd be sceptical it would be that extreme, then it's a very serious development in the war.

There was always going to be a Russian offensive: there simply was no way they'd play rearguard this long without having some Hail Mary attempt to restart any degree of momentum; the question is more if Ukraine are ready themselves, and what their defensive positions are like.
Is this going to be Russia Battle of the Bulge moment, the last attempt to fashion a victory, a bloody nose to the enemy, using the remaining high quality equipment Moscow can call upon?

Unhappy deluded bunny but judging by expressions on the pundits, a bit like Djokovic yesterday when he started to realise that the game was up. He smashed his racket off the post in frustration, but tennis rackets don't blow up in your face.
Important to stress that this offensive if it is in fact true and not simply reserve movement: Will face the same issues that Ukraine has faced in the south except much much worse. The lines in this area haven't moved in 9 months. Ukraine has had all that time to build lines and mine the f**k out of the area. Russia have no air superiority. Ukraine now has or will begin to receive hundreds of thousands of cluster munitions. Russia does not have the same ability to target and disrupt Ukranian supplies since the east of the country is not supplied by a thin landbridge and a couple of rail lines.
On top of this where is the ammunition for all these systems going to come from? The only real gains Russia has been able to make in this entire fiasco has been when their artillery advantage at any given point has been at 10:1, their entire strategy revolves around it. Himars brought that to an end. So unless they somehow pull a few millions shells out of their ass(I guess we don't really know how much they have) I don't see how they'd even manage to take Lyman.
If I was to guess this is a strategy to distract the current Ukr counter offensive and bait their reserves away from the south and draw the war out longer. Maybe it'll work. Who knows.

Hundreds of thousands of cluster munitions?, not so sure about that ,yes they have received clause munitions recently but hundreds of thousands of them ?
Storm Shadow is more of a precision weapon than an area weapon. Clusters would do if their stuff is packed closely enough.
Gotta echo another poster and say whatever the validity of SOMETHING happening, 100k soldiers sounds incredibly unlikely
You have to think we were told Russian lost upwards of 70,000 men in bakmut alone yet none of us actually seen any large concentration of Russian troops,seen plenty of videos showing between 10 -20 Russians getting hit with artillery out in the open but we never saw thousands and definitely not tens of thousands of Russians in bakmut
Something needs to be done before these guys get moving or it could be why some we have not seen some of the Ukranianian divisions yet.
If they're coming the Ukrainians have known it for some time.
I'd say it's been photographed and analysed by every NATO satellite and multiple strategies pondered.

Probably always going to appear to be an active area if there is any scaling up of troops & equipment given Ruzzias reliance on rail.
We had over 4,000 employees in over a dozen countries a couple of years ago, I don't know if I'd say we're a 'small' software company (There are still nearly 2,000 of us), and in terms of relevance, we shut down our largest offices and left our largest markets. If we can do that, IMO Carlsberg can afford to lose Russia. I didn't say it would be painless.
