A small but good indicator for me, showing RT and NK for who they really are, was the invoicing for services not yet delivered ie the €150k invoice to ASTUS. The key moment in this relatively small issue was when they proposed that they had invoiced for these because they were "still there, waiting to be drawn down by Renolt when. - and/or if - that time ever comes. Sheer greed, writ large on their foreheads. And they had feck all intention of returning it until this last weekend, btw.
I think the unravelling of that invoice by Revenue (why invoiced to the UK at 0%, Mr Kelly?) and by ODCE (what consultancy services and why CMS, Mr Kelly?) would be interesting

I don't think RTE or the news media outlets are really going to give us an unbiased answer to that question. Too many of them have skin in the game and are surely concerned that more skeletons are going to come out of the closet here. They don't want to upset the apple cart too much.
Only if they didn’t agree to let him out of the tv aspect of it, and to keep his radio portion. If they did, they can’t. Obviously there are clauses for breaking the contract with a contractor. But, as RTE were part of the setup that people have an issue with, I would doubt they have grounds to cancel the contract.
the angle they have is to reduce the contract value for the radio portion alone to such an extent that he won’t work for it.
This is the spin now, RTE tried to do the same on news that yesterday was a draw. Tubs got his points over and the public would feel his pain blah blah blah.

Guy on CB now reckoning RTs chances of a comeback have give from 90/10 against/for to 60/40. I’d disagree. I think on the surface he did a fair job yesterday. I I’m left with questions and a bad taste about it all today. It’s like painting over fire damage. It looks good for a small while but the spot marks reappear before too long.

Your don’t understand VAT rules, maybe you understand that you pay vat of 23% on your benson and hedges and linden village but it appears you know little beyond that. Tubs has to because of his nice little setup and this was part of his contract to release his wages. If he doesn't like it he can leave RTE.
Ethics do come into it, Tubs brought them into it with his waffling on the TV about we are all in this and I took a pay cut while he was funnelling money via dodgy account to evade VAT etc and keep his wages at the level he wanted them at.
It's not correct to compare private and public. Tubs wants to hide his wage and dodgy deals go into the lucrative private TV which Kelly was waffling about
I had to kind of grin when RT brought up potentially losing his job on Friday. He’s not going to resign. I’m sure there’s a break clause in his contract where he’s on he hook fur payments to RTE should he not fulfil the contract term notwithstanding serious health issues etc. if so he’s not going to resign. If he’s sacked he’s paid anyway. The contract will be bought out so he’s still doing well. Faced with that I’d have him on a late night/overnight slot on one of tge online stations, preferably playing wall to wall hardcore dance because you’d know he’d hate it. He might even leave.
No offence intended to dance music or dance music fans. It’s just something Tubs wouldn’t enjoy I feel.

He lied about fake pay cuts while knowing RTE were guaranteeing him money for nothing.
And ultimately the public are his audience. So in doing so he destroyed his brand.
Strangely the public seem to take a dislike to such conduct.
