HKC replace broken sensor

I broke a sensor on a velux window when I was cleaning the window.

I bought a replacement (albeit smaller) and it seemed easy enough to install.

However, I can't set the alarm as it tells me there is a comms error. Do I need to tell the system that there was a change somehow.

Or, do I need to call out an alarm company?

Can you post up a pic of the sensor in question. If it's an ID sensor or an RF sensor will need engiaccess to install it onto the sys6.

A comms error would mean the system is not communication with the system.

What did you break on the sensor?
