Just opened today! Anyone know what percentage of job offers are based outside Dublin just out of curiosity?
How much notice are people getting for the interview?
…….
Hi,
Basically if there is a pattern of sick absences thenntne candidate cannot be relied upon to give effective service in the future
see Circular 34/1976
This is incorrect. If you are currently on point 5 of the Co scale at the time of promotion then you will move to point 1 of the EO scale. It's laid out in the circular but as point 5 of the Co is below point 1 of the EO then the circular states that the difference between point 1 and 2 of the EO scale is added to the ops current salary. Even when this is added the op salary will still be below point 1 of the EO scale. Therefore the op will move up to the nearest point which is point 1.
I got over 3 weeks notice before interview
Sat interview 2 weeks ago today and I've just today officially received my offer.and 2 potential start dates whichever my current management Decide to release me for. With one of the dates it could be 4 weeks exactly from interview to start date
36 open a month ago… painfully slow again. Hopefully jumped a bit in meantime
EO's are every two weeks, we just got paid yesterday. So it'll be two weeks until the next pay.
Check NSSO for your payslip, it'll be generated a few days before the thursday you're paid :)
If you pass the interview what documents do you have to provide? I've applied to get a copy of LC results from the Dept. (t'was a long time ago!!) just wondering would they accept a report from the school? Thanks
Question, i have been a CO 4 years now in the same dept. 8 weeks ago i started in a new section due to restructor. I have passed EO interview and my new AP is trying to keep me in my new section as EO, which i dont want. Plus i was told there was no EO vacancy. But all of a sudden since i flagged to stay in my dept they are looking into keeping me as EO.
Any advise? I thought you cant stay in same section if promoted.
Thanks In Advance
Talk to HR about it, but you may not get a choice of section if you're retained by your department. There is no reason you can't be kept in the same section if promoted - I went from TCO to CO to EO in the same section.
E-mail HR Recruitment and specify your interest to move, 3 of us asked to stay in justice and we are but a different section altogether
I was afraid of that that’s why I took Dublin . Some other counties move so slow
Thanks, i suppose thats the risk with staying in the same dept.
My own depts HR or PAS? I did flag to stay within my dept just dont want to stay in the current section I am in.
Thanks
Do the rural control/local offices allow working from home? Not a branch office as they are not civil servants.
Civil service values seems to be coming up in many interviews
You would need to talk to HR in your Department. PAS would have no involvement in which section you were put in.
Hi guys, would you know, I'm moving from CO to EO. My next CO increasement would be end of September and would be higher than first point on the EO scale. I'm moving to EO 2 months before my next CO increasement date.
Will I start on point 1 EO or 2? Where would it be best to ask.
I was in the same position with you. When I asked management in my current role would my increment kick in, in August or would it change. I was told no. It says on the circular you should get when you get the offer of assignment that your new increment date will be the date of your first day in the new rolem so your increment in September would not happen.
at the time it looked like was moving - the literally no move in 2.5 months - so frustrating considering I’m sitting looking at 3 empty chairs with EO vacancies
What is the hold up do you think?
Does anyone know what is the timeline for being given a start date after assignment? I was assigned to another department 3 weeks ago and I have still not received a start date. I am moving from CO to EO and the HR in my current department have not been approached either.
I don't know with another department. But in my case its going to be exactly 1 month from interview to start date
One month to receive a start date or one month until your actual starting date?
Had my interview 26th May and will be officially an eo 26th june
I had my interview in April and still waiting on a start date.
Quite speedy!
I'm staying in my department so that helps...
Have u been assigned yet?
Very....
