Anybody have any idea how long it takes to get changed to an Irish IBAN? I contacted like 2 weeks ago as I want to set up a joint account but it needs to be a Irish IBAN
Perfect. Thank you
you’ll need to put the reference in at the payment stage. It won’t let you save it when adding the payee like other banks do.
The only place I can see with somewhere to put a reference is the 'Send International' option.
I'd have assumed it was Bank or Card Transfer options I should be using?
Haven’t done it for BOI myself, but it should be a bank transfer to the account nominated by BOI with either your 16 digit card number or your account number (if BOI have such a thing) in the reference field.
Check the BOI website for more details, try a test transfer for a fiver to see how it works.

If your credit card is from AIB, you’re out of luck.
Can someone please give the steps for paying a credit card via an IE Revolut account, including where to add the reference.
Many thanks!
I found
I found that I had to unlink and relink my AIB account before the Pay Later was enabled.
Three salary payments was my experience. Rejected for card when I applied after two payments but tried again the day after my third payment and was accepted.
@Qrt Yes asked on chat no reply and couldn’t get an agent. Will try again. Tried opening an account but It gets rejected as I.D is under 18. Yes I know u can only have one child linked to one parents account, we currently have this done, but from the above wording it appears that once a child is over 16, with parents consent a child over 16 can have a stand alone account themselves. As is the case with Irish banks anyway, I.E Bank staff doing the rounds in schools and getting parental consent on the account opening forms by way of parents signature. Just wondering if anyone managed this with Revolut as both parents have Revolut and could transfer.
AFAIK you can only have one <18 account per regular account unless you're on a paid plan with Revolut
did you ask revolut through the chat?
Could Anyone please advise how I go about getting an account open for a 17 year old if I give approval. No info online on how to do this, we currently have a <18 account but only linked to one parents account so would be great if both parents could transfer into it.
Anyone know what happens to the <18 accounts if you cancel your Plus membership after 12 months? I’ve two but don’t really need the other benefits of the Plus account at the moment and would like to cancel it before renewal if it didn’t affect the kids accounts.

that’s the IBAN for non-AIB accounts, but it’s going to go into the same holding account anyways.
Does anybody know the details to pay an AIB credit card from a different AIB account thats not linked to it? Thanks
Thanks I did wonder that and only got paid to Revolut for the first time this month....will try again in a few months.
Salary was previously paid to N26 and couldn't link that when it was paid there so changed it.
I had a similar issue with enabling Pay Later, I think there needs to be a certain number of salary payments before you pass the credit check
Just tried applying (got the go ahead s few weeks back), just started getting my salary into my Revolut account and it's declined saying I need to check my details ?
Have a credit card with BOI that's repaid in full each month, want to replace it with a Revolut card.
Anyone else been declined for no apparent reason and/or then been approved. It's mad their application is just half a dozen or so questions.
Finally got the update email today so seems they are still processing the personal accounts
There was a few on the thread that got one already, one person wasn't even wait listed, was just able to apply and got one straight away with the max 10k limit.
I'm still wait listed, been checking the odd time
Has anyone actually gotten one yet?
I don't really want or need a credit card, but it would be handy to have the option if I'm ever renting a car
I'm guessing there'll be a virtual card option like with the debit cards? Not really interested in getting yet another physical card
Anyone still wait listed for a credit card?
I applied for the wait list in the evening of the 19th of feb before it was announced on the news, and I’m still wait listed.
checking almost daily and no joy.
I can apply for credit loans no issue and I’m auto approved for the max 30k, so I’d imagine there isn’t an issue with my credit that’s holding things up!
I'm not sure if this is related but my wife had to use the seperate card reader thing to generate a security code in order to transfer money to her Revolut account. I can't remember if she was doing transfers or a debit card transaction however
I was having a similar problem. After much frustration, I had a rant to my son who suggested I use Google Pay to top up my Revolut account instead. I know it's not the ideal solution, but it stopped me firing the phone out the window in the interim!
I've been actively avoiding setting up Google Pay because I just think it's far too easy to spend money these days as it is (like, I sometimes deliberately leave my cards at home for that very reason) but I think at this stage I'm going to have to. If fcuking AIB will allow me to...
Can you use Apple or Google pay?
I have tons of issues topping up my Bunq account with the AIB debit card, keeps declining the payment even when I explicitly allow it in the AIB app.
I'd be fairly sure the issue is on the AIB end.
I'm actually cracking up at this point. Spent almost 20 minutes on hold waiting to speak to AIB earlier before giving up. Tried to just do a transfer from my account rather than via my card and it keeps failing at the confirmation stage. The screen to confirm the transaction pops up for a nano-second and then the AIB app goes "Error - cannot send push message, directing you back" and I get fired back to Revolut. I have all the notification types enabled on the AIB app so can't figure out what the issue is. Updated both the Revolut and AIB apps to no avail. In fact, Revolut isn't even offering me debit card as a top-up option now. Genuinely on the verge of firing the phone out the window here.
I’ve come across this a few times online, I’ve heard removing it and readding it can work. Otherwise you can use Apple/Google Pay or a regular SEPA transfer. There could be something SCA-related on AIB’s side.
