I'm collecting Friday at 2.30; was moved from tomorrow. M3 RWD. No reg yet, but not expecting until later in the week.
No reg yet either - from what I've read on here it will probably arrive on Wednesday morning when I'm en route to collect the car!
how reg details are shared by Tesla?
They told me I'd get a text message with the reg - also some people on here said it may also appear in your account with you documents (where the Order Agreement is)
It appeared under documents in the app on Friday. I also got a text message this morning confirming the reg.
I got an SEAI document to sign for car without VIN and very late delivery date. It seems that Tesla is getting their act together and where possible future deliveries will get full grant amount.
Likewise, i have Jun - Sep delivery window for a M3P, would be a bones to get the full grant for it!
Cars are deffo being delivered this morning.

Tesla have confirmed to me that you have 4 months once you have applied/approved SEAI grant. I was to get M3 in June but due to Tesla fcuk up looks like it will be sometime after June but they confirmed I would receive full grant.
Just some info re insurance: hoping to collect M3 RWD on Friday. Currently have Volvo V40 insured with AIG. Phoned them this morning to flag it in case there was a problem. After checking with supervisor the agent said there was no need to refer it, and quoted me €61.92 extra to insure to end of August. That looks like I will definitely need to shop around come August!
OK - So looks like I can get into Connolly for 12.20 on Wednesday and collection is 2.30

Check bus/luas times using Transport for Ireland or the Moovit app. They should give you different options and times required. But I think 2 hours should be plenty. Options I looked at took 1 to 1.5 hours using public transport. As I said here before I plan to get train from Galway to Newbridge, then 126 bus to Saggart Cross (this is a stop before Newlands Cross). If my recce is correct that bus stop is 290 metres from the Tesla Collection point, all on a footpath.
Get yourself a coffee, stroll across to Poolbeg Street and get the 65B at 1.00 o'clock. Stay on to the last stop in Citywest and walk across the bridge and down onto the road and you'll be there in 10-12 minutes.

That bus takes 52 minutes though! That seems awfully long.
Wouldn't it be better to take the train to Heuston, Luas to Fortunestown (which is right by the CityWest shopping center) and then take a taxi from there? I mean to each their own, you might love the bus! It would fill me with dread to sit on a bus for that long.
When is the last collection at ? Did I see somewhere 3PM ?
Later than that. Our collection is 3.30 and I remember there being either 4 or 4.30 also available.
Maybe so, but it's not a busy route and goes through some nice parts of the city before it gets to Tallaght, and only a short walkfrom the last stop.
The Luas from Heuston to Citywest takes 38 minutes! then there is the longer train journey and I hate taxis, too many bad experiences, never feel safe in them.

I don't mind the Luas so much, but I agree with taxis. I never feel safe in them either.
I just looked it up and I can't swing that with times. I pick up at 12:30.
I either arrive 1,5 hours too early, or an hour too late. Guess I'm stuck with the Luas and a taxi
Does anyone know what the cycle lane infrastructure is like?
Was thinking of maybe bringing my e-scooter and going from Heuston station to Baldonnel that way. Then I can just put it in the boot of the car.

I know people have previously posted very useful info about walking from the 69 bus stop or Luas stop in Citywest. That is what I was checking out when i called in to Tesla/NVD last Tuesday. I tried walking the route in reverse, and came across the much nearer bus stop for the 126 bus. I did not walk all the way to Citywest, just over the bridge crossing the Naas dual carriageway. It is do-able but I found it unpleasant, with trucks and cars whizzing by. I did not look for cycle lanes, but I would think that it would be very difficult with such busy roads.
Early or late won't really matter too much when there's 80+ collections on the day.
I've actually driven that bus and at times you can get to the last stop in 30-35 minutes. All nice new type vehicles now, with extra leg-room,USB ports, bright and airy .....

Just got my Reg ahead of collection tomorrow at 15:30. Looking to sort tax and insurance today. For anyone who has done it, was there a lag between when Tesla send out the Reg number, and when that Reg and VIN combo are registered on Motor Tax Online? Seems to be coming up blank when I pop in the correct information.
And a second request of you helpful bunch, I need to head straight from Baldonnell to the airport with work. What is the best method for searching for fast chargers so that I can charge fully before parking in the airport, as I am back in late Wednesday night and will be driving to Cork!
Oh, is it a coach? Rather than a City bus?

The 126 goes from Rathangan via Newbridge and Naas to Dublin city centre. So not a city bus.
Thanks! That changes things. I don't mind sitting on a coach bus, sure I do it all the time from Galway to Dublin airport.
