I couldn’t see her returning- I bet that’s why she took this “break”- it was apparent to all in the last few weeks this story was coming - I’ll bet ITV want to whitewash this whole thing and put two new presenters on the show- like totally “cleanse” the audience memory of anything untoward- Holly still there is a daily reminder
I don’t have “Snapchat” on my phone simply because when it came out it was always considered a young persons app and I had absolutely no reason to have it - similarly I didn’t get Tik tok for the same reason and even now that it’s probably more mainstream I’d still feel pervy or creepy getting it

So question is, when did he start on the show? Because it’s likely that very soon after, the relationship started because Philip would want to push out his age as far as he can.
I reckon he was 18 or max 19 when the relationship started- so firmly in the “creepy” category but not illegal - in fairness I’d say the same if this was a male/female thing- someone in their 50s and a teenager?
His coming out interview was a big pack of lies.
What prompted him coming out? Was he being blackmailed?
Bottom line we know he hits up teenage boys online, and has been doing it for years, so now that the cat is out of the bag, expect countless guys to come forward with tales to tell.
So he denied and lied about the relationship to ITV despite other colleagues flagging it to management thereby at the time making them look like liars

Exactly, and if he didn't nothing legally wrong, then why is EVERYONE running a mile from him.
It might be technically legal in criminal terms - that remains to be established when full picture emerges.
However he also seems to have lied to ITV about the nature of the relationship and put colleagues in a difficult position which is a reason in itself for people to be running a mile from him. Or rather more than that if you look at Eamonn Holmes lambasting him on Twitter. Toxic.
There’s no detail behind the relationship and given the age and the age gap and his lies - what else did he lie about?
There’s no way in hell you could trust this guy anymore and the fact he’s likely been still economical with the truth on this relationship, I for one wouldn’t be hanging around waiting to see “is that it?” Because any fcking idiot would know, the answer to that question is “it’s likely not even 1/2 the story yet”.
I'd say if you wait a few hours a lot more detail may be in tomorrows papers.
I'd say they're talking about a guy who ONCE had a big night out at the Oscars. There were some REVELATEions about his behavior with a teenage girl who he later was romantically involved with.

A bit ironic Holly being hurt by his lie, given that when he (was forced) to come out and admit he had being lying to his wife and children for over 20 yes, she was there with a consoling hug stating how brave he was, and no thought for the hurt his wife and children were suffering.
Funny, that was the first person who crossed my mind anyway.
Holly is a toxic brand after all this as well as Phil surely. I get the impression they were very aware of each others personal lives and I’m sure that even if Schofield lied directly to her her gut would have told her so. I don’t think we’re dealing with s a naive schoolgirl type here. She also should be shifted off tge shoe sbd let two fresh faces take over. They probably can’t sideline her too much though as being a self cebtered person isn’t a crime and it’d look like they were victimising a woman and then her husband is well connected so she’ll be ok. I still think she’s pretty toxic at this stage though.

True but technically either has Phil. It’s a massive age difference and I know there’s likely grooming involved but it’s not mentioned afaik andit’s one of these funny things I always find. Had he come out and met a much younger guy and they hit it off the tabloids would be Full of positive stories. I have female friends who are in relationships with much older men and from their early 20s as well.
as an aside I always laugh at stories of any couple where they’re asked how they met and the lady says “well he asked me out and I said no but he was really persistent and I gave him a chance”. Flip a coin and it could have been a harassment case in the courts! 😃

Yeah exactly. I’m wondering if there’s more in the wings. He’s technically not done anything wrong or illegal afaik. His main vice is being a prïck to fellow presenters and she staff behind the scenes and being a serial liar but the fallout seems very severe given what he’s actually done. His talent agent has also dropped him and he’s left ITV so I’m guessing there’s a lot yet to come out and probably the amount of stuff is the real issue. I am probably wrong.
