Biden Could go tomorrow, now in saying that someone will pop up and suggest I said he would die on a specific time, date and from a specific cause ,
They are getting weapons at the rate claimed this is undisputed except by 2-3 individuals on here who seem to think Europe running factories day and night producing weapons for ukraine when they are not,
While Russia can't out produce the west the west isn't exactly out producing anyone at the moment, and this is a problem probably one of the biggest problems for ukraine, what's been promised isn't being delivered,
The Big talk here is F16s despite F16s barely making the top 10 of requested weapons and equipment,
But F16s will change the war,no they won't not unless they received multiple squadrons of them along with the tech to keep the flying
Leaked US Defense document from April suggests the following casualties for both sides.
Mod - Can we all stop having a go at other posters please and discuss the topic of the thread? This is really starting to look like a pile on and if that happens people will end up being threadbanned, so lets avoid that. Thanks
F16's won't suddenly change the war and end it but they will help and by that logic should be sent. Even if they only received 50 of them they'll do a lot more then their aging soviet fleet.
If the net result means Russian plane's have to do their attack runs from further afield and Russia logistics start getting air struck more often then that's a win.
When this war is over Ukraine will probably buy a nice fleet of F-35's.
The Russians are furious that Ukraine have been buying and using Turkish made cluster munitions against them.
Which is why I said "suggested". I'm not saying it's gospel. Also your claim of 200,000 Russians "de nazified permanently" (do you mean dead?) is inaccurate. The article says "losses", so this will probably include injured, missing and taken prisoner as counting towards the total.
in the UK (one of the Ukraine's biggest supporters) inflation is expected to rise for another quarter or 2.
So it's not across the board.
Sobering reading.
I have visited Ukraine many times, as recently as Aug 2021 and have travelled around the country by car, Odesa, Lviv, etc. I never came across any checkpoints, where did you come across them?
I find it incomphrensible why any officer or equivalent close or at the front line - on the Ukraine side- would share what the actual situatuon is/ future strategies, etc WITH ANYBODY outside of a VERY VERY tight group around these officers/equivalent - and MOST ESPECIALLY with a boardie to blast ‘the findings’ to the public at large
The Russian propaganda narrative has several consistent themes.
1. The West will grow tired of the war and abandon Ukraine
2. Ukraine cannot sustain resistance
3. A Russian victory is inevitable.
All of these are clearly false. The truth is:
1. The West is vastly wealthier and more technologically advanced than Russia, the EU alone could support Ukraine.
2. Ukraine will fight even without Western support
3. All military evidence to date is that a Russian defeat is inevitable.
This was posted a couple of months ago. Could be from the leak, don't remember. The only difference is that nobody claimed 1:10 overall rate in favour of Ukraine. It was only in Bakhmut area, claims of 1:5 - 1:7 and some days up to 10. This was noted a couple of times, but he chose to ignore that
2008,2009,2012 ,
Donesk,kiev, lviv,day trip to Odessa,
It was pretty a common occurrence across ukraine if it was known you were a foreign person/car , Post 2014 a lot changed politically in Ukraine, local corruption was and likely to degree still is they have made huge strides , monthly salaries were terrible especially in law enforcement which was pretty much still living and operating in a Soviet time capsule,
There was a well known military adviser a former US special forces operator who wrote about how offen he would be stopped by local cops are to pay tolls despite being there to train the new Ukrainian military
Yes, but isn't it fair to presume that there are also valuable stockpiles of military equipment and munitions protected by these Patriot air defence systems. Which will be needed in due course. So the Russian military would target the air defences to see if they can then hit militarily valuable targets.
Most of armor, fuel and ammo to come into the country will not be stored in kyiv.
Patriots in kyiv is for political reasons mainly - its bad for morale to have Russians freely striking at the capital, and secondly because of some amount of decision making centers there.
Logistics routes are mostly to south and west of the country, farthest from Russia and Belarus. From Lviv towards Mykolaiv, Kremenchug or Dnipro by rail or road, but not to kyiv first. Storing most of your heavy weaponry and ammo near a hostile border would be crazy
The West is announcing new weapons and training, down the line, always down the line and just enough to hold on when used by Ukrainian forces who are completely committed to defending their homeland against the Red hoard which killed about 6 to 10 million of them in the last century.
Lots has been given but not at the scale that this conflicts demands.
Looks like Poland have said to to sending any of their F16s to Ukraine,
I can't see anyone sending theirs bases in Europe being they are essential to individual countries security , possibly one for the future though,
Nothing new though. Ukraine have to try overcome a pretty hopeless numerical and hardware advantage on the Russian side.
From that site front page
Absolutely wild.
People basing any of their hot takes from these or the Russian reported figures has really got to take a good look at themselves and wonder....am I being lied to?
I looked for it but I cannot find the intelligence 1:1 ratio off losses claim.
So it looks that you are again caught spouting unverifiable nonsense and when asked to back it up refer to a non existent post in this thread.
How many years have you been butt hurt now .
Was it an Afghanistan or something to do with Israel thread, 6/7 year's ago
He cant...
No doubt there is a lot of propaganda but that doesn't change the fact that Russia is suffering horrendous losses and has embarrassed itself as an army.
It's one step up from an African militia and at least they are motivated by muju and khat.
What particular figure(s) do you have a basis to think is a lie, as opposed to a reasonable approximate estimate?
Those Russian casualties are very sad for all concerned. But then given the current situation, the more the merrier. Sooner or later the penny will drop and they'll turn their guns on their own military & political leadership.
But the most important reason? Ukrainians are fighting for their very lives, and that will not change regardless of the weapons supply situation etc. They have no choice,
We've been hearing that line that the Russians will overthrow the regime for quite some time now.. still waiting
Not the best comparison. Said administration also ended up providing said healthcare system with the access to vaccines at a level unavailable to other nations.
yeah let’s not also forget the game he played with states, federally seizing their purchased supplies and then re-doling them out for political favors from governors. He would have fit in perfectly as a Russian general selling off tank engines right before a war.
In that part of the world both in Russia and the ex USSR states, Checkpoints are micro ( and sometimes not so micro) income generating businesses, and are regularly bough and sold amongst the party boss's them selves. And this does not include the impromptu independent "Performances".
Most people probably only don’t talk about it frequently because of fog of war and propaganda issues (QED: days/weeks of conjecture about hypersonic missiles). I’d say most people are aware of salient confirmed details. Support among the RNC and DNC in the US is pretty damn high still, the only ones it’s not for are those opportunist leeches trying to curry favor with the MAGA/never-democrat base.
