In the time since the fall of the Soviet Union, I don't think that a single state which gained independence at that time has opted to rejoin with Russia and give up its sovereignty. It's difficult to know exactly how much pro-western feeling there is in a place like Belarus, but the controversy surrounding their last round of elections would suggest that the younger set in the country isn't exactly thrilled about being ruled by authoritarian old men - perhaps even less so if that old man were to be a thousand miles away and even less accountable.
1420's video asking Belarusians if they'd like to join the EU produces a fair few favourable answers, not that I can't say the editing is selective here, but it does certainly seem like it's a concept in at least some Belarusians' heads. I suppose that a move to fully integrate Belarus into Russia would bring this feeling to the fore in however much amount it actually exists.

These appear like ancient Soviet era arms dumps. There's zero evidence Ukraine are storing anything modern here, despite all the claim. These are Soviet era sites whose locations are well known. Not dissimilar to the large dump in Moldova.

He might have been poisoned, but I’m more inclined to think that he really is just gravely ill. My guess is that his attendance at the parade in Moscow was a cack-handed attempt to say: “Look everyone! He’s fine! Nothing to see here.” Of course it didn’t work out that way and now we know he’s in hospital.
Putin wants Belarus for sure, but I’m thinking he was saving that for some sunny future day where he had already taken over Kyiv and not mired in the disastrous war he got instead. He’s too occupied to take over Minsk and probably wanted his puppet in place until the time was right. Luka dying is an additional headache Putin probably doesn’t want right now.
Annexation of Belarus would be a disaster, Russia's border would be right up to Poland.

Don't think it would make much difference in the bigger scheme, Poland has been expanding and modernising it's whole military and defense programs,to the point of heading towards being the most powerful military force in Europe and Nato,at this stage there should be plans put into place to push kalingrad to become a pro Europe state for a better word

I think it would be a bad move. The Poles are just looking for a reason to get involved, and one wrong unintentional move against them, they'd walk right through the Orcs

Poland's weakness has always been it's geography and always will be - sandwiched on the flat plain between Germany and Russia. I would argue it's the most indefensible country in Europe and how much they invest in defence is a bit moot as a result. That's not to say they shouldn't invest heavily of course but they are eternally hobbled by their geography.
The mad thing is that the Union State was actually largely Lukashenko’s idea. Back in 1996, Lukachenko pushed for it with Yeltsin, he wanted to capitalise on Russia’s relative success. It’s speculated that Lukashenko (who was only 42 at the time) fancied himself as Yeltsin’s successor to rule the combined Russia/Belarus state (Lukashenko is officially president of the Supreme State Council of the Union).
The people of Belarus protested against it in 1999, but it was Putin coming into the scene in 2000 that made Lukashenko realise that he’d basically done a deal with the devil, and he’s been desperately trying to negotiate the fine line between his own independence and Putin’s ruthless desire for power ever since.
