Victory day parade organised in Dublin by the Russian supporters

How is it possible that Russian supporters can organise a parade in Dublin to support Russia?

Event will take place in Western Industrial Estate D12 on May 7th

One of the Ukrainian refugees pointed out to me that there will be a parade organised by the Russian embassy outfit on facebook with the direct stream to Russian propaganda channels.

Permit granted by the Dublin council and security provided by the Garda

After the comments made by the their ambassador and what they are doing in Ukraine how is it possible?

Yes, I believe as far back as 2010..

I myself passed a convey of about 30-40 cars a few years ago on their way out to Donabate, mostly flying Russian and Soviet flags, and also some of the 'Ukraine is Russia' type flags that exist (I only know about that one as an old neighbours gf was from Latvia (but really a Russian), and she had that sticker on the back of her car which shocked my gf's mother (Lithuanian) (I guess a sort of comparison would be driving around loyalist areas in the North with big Eire32 flags flying)..

People keep mentioning in this thread that it's happening in an industrial estate, but in fact thats only the meeting/starting point, as they'll all then travel in convoy to another location for the big BBQ (a few mentioned Kildare), with cars fully adorned with flags etc....

The thing is, I don't get to draw the line. We have a constitution, laws and a system in place that deal with these issues. What I believe is an irrelevance as the law defines what they can and can't do.

The lefties won't be caught dead at something like that. They play a game where they condemn NATO, the USA and the EU in the strongest terms and then tick a box by saying a one-liner about how the invasion is wrong and they don't support the Russians.

Their support for Russian is indirect through their repeated attacks on the Ukrainian government ,armed forces and the countries and organisations supporting them. Showing up at something that would, for all intents and purposes, be a Z-rally, wouldn't fit with their game at all.

The fact is that most ordinary Russians have no say in what Putin and the Politburo in general does. For a Russian to express publicly what he/she really thinks of Putin may not end well, a spell in the gulags of Siberia could be on the cards. Chances are some of the Russian migrants here and elsewhere had to leave their home land because of their political views, others left seeking a better way of life....just as our young citizens are leaving😢

Stripping someone of citizenship and deportation can be overturned by the Supreme Court and I'm guessing would be in this case?

By handing out citizenship to so many foreigners in the last three decades we've inherited a panoply of ethnic grudges and agendas we don't necessarily share or sympathise with. That can be messy.

They will be travelling to Kildare after, there will no doubt be flags and symbols displayed and like the incident in Swords last year, shortly after the outbreak of the war, there will be potential for hateful and intimidatory messaging and symbology.

So whether it's a few dozen or a few hundred, this event must be policed and any Russian nationalist carry-on snuffed out.

If you really wanted to anger the parade as it's to celebrate Soviet Union victory over the Nazi German state in 1945, have a counter protest with Ukrainian Azov battalion, Right Sector, S14 etc, flags banners and posters as the neo nazi supporting political and military organizations would really annoy the parade people!
