When I did my insurance the grant wasn't clarified yet so I just completely discounted it to put the value at the full OMSP (before the most recent discount). It made no difference to my premium as it came in at €330 for the year anyway. So I would rather be over insured than under-insured if the premium difference is immaterial.
exactly forget the grant amount as this is not certain to be available for period of insurance. In addition, claims may not involve replacement and you should be cautious that Insurer doesnt make the case that car is underinsured giving grounds for scaling back amount paid out. In any event choosing higher value will not impact premium in any material way, if at all!
Who is your insurer if you don't mind me asking??
I have tried AA yesterday and is coming in at 800 odd euro (Not sure if the lack of reg was the issue or not), gonna try a few others online today and see what I get

Sometimes it seems that Tesla do not know what they are doing. My first two payments registered the next day, but the third one did not, even though I had used the exact same payee information, including the RN number.
Just got our refund from Tesla for “fire sale” order. Only been 10 days since we sent them our details so pretty quick in fairness for our one. Strange others haven’t been the same.
It's been 9 calendar days since we sent details, 7 working days and we haven't received the refund yet.
I called in to Sandyford today, they said, 'oh, you're one of the fire sale group'. Wry smiles all round.
Rescheduled collection by a week from Friday 28th to Friday 5th.
What date did you submit your details. I submitted all details on 5th April to Kelly and received an email on the 6th from Celine saying it had been processed. Still nothing in my account.
is there much wriggle room around collection dates? do you have to call in to do so or can you do via email/online chat?
So just seeing my delivery date has changed to 4th May - 19th of May, on a positive, will be good to see if more price cuts, on a negative will it keep getting pushed back !

I chose to call in since I was on the M50 anyway. We decided last night we weren't going to push for Fri 28th collection. We could have juggled a few accounts and paid for this LR without needing the fire sale LR refund, but there would have been a bank visit needed and for the sake of an extra week, it's easier just to wait. Plus it gives us an extra week to see if this week's US MY price reduction trickles down to Europe. The Sandyford guys said no problem if we have to do the same again next week if the refund still hasn't arrived.
Same here and tbh it actually suits me at the minute. As you say, if there are to be any price cuts you would hope that they would start to appear come the middle of May and assuming a similar time frame to the previous cut.
Yes very true, however I have 192 BMW 330e that is going down in value and I just had a deal done and this happens again. Not confident enough in Tesla to get rid until I have a slot.

Par for the course now with Tesla, expect the worst and then some! Fingers crossed it will only take a couple of business days to appear in your account.
Does everyone waiting for a refund still have the firesale car visible in their account ?
when you click into manage it just says order was cancelled.
Yes I do. Still showing in account but when you click it in it states "Next Steps. We have received your cancellation request, if you have any other questions or issues please call one of our specialists at 01 513 4727 and we will be happy to help you"
Interested to know, is that within your delivery window when you placed the order?
Anyone doing wire transfer from boi to Citibank. I sent 2 separate transfers this morning before 12. Just checked my Tesla account and it had already hit their account. Wow that was fast 🤭
PTSB - cutoff is 9:30 am and 2 pm IIRC so should be fairly fast. My first 10k landed today. Now 4 more days and we should be there. Will leave a small amount off for the possible price reduction (fingers crossed).
Cool I have another 5.5k which I will do Monday. Only sold my Audi last night thank god so won’t get that cash till Sunday. Collection is fri 28th so cutting it fine
Initially Feb-March then July 17 - Sept 9, then April 19 - May 4 and now May 4 - May 19. Getting on for 3+ months car less at this stage.
My initial order was January 13th, day of price cut, cancelled a Polestar 2 and ordered a black/black M3 LR. My delivery date always was Jan - Mar. Then it went to Apr - June. I changed my specifications (different colour to black/white) on April 4th and got a Vin and delivery date of Apr. 19th to May 4th within a half hour. So not updet if this new delivery works out but bit of a sage for sure.
