Mother will no doubt attend with him...
The entire reason they went after Bill Clinton was in retaliation for Nixon. Which is more than a little ridiculous since the reason he resigned instead of being impeached is because the Senate Republicans went to him and let him know that if he didn't resign the House was going to vote to Impeach and then the Senate would vote to convict. But I guess like now what really made them mad then was that the Democrats had the audacity to go public with Nixon's criminality. You know, even though it was a couple of reporters that broke the story. The idea that they've been "holding back" is just hogwash. A lie that they hope to get people to believe if they just repeat it enough times. The only reason they haven't indicted Obama, or Hillary, or Biden for something is because they haven't done anything to indict them over. They want to pretend that the repeated investigations of Hillary weren't political even though in all of them their partisan investigations never found anything to charge her with. But that somehow the investigations of Trump, which are actually bearing fruit, were entirely political. I'll certainly admit that there is the chance that indicting Trump might actually make him more of a threat as a candidate. However indicting him is still the right thing to do. NOT indicting him would be playing politics. He broke the law.
They like to talk about themselves as being the party of law and order, but that's about as true as them being the party of fiscal responsibility. Which is to say not at all.
One of the biggest mistakes that the democrats made was not releasing the fact Nixon committed treason to help get him elected at the time.
Especially since then it's been shown that republicans have a habit of doing so to get elected.
Steady on! You can't get a guy into court on the basis that he's an ignorant, cheating, misogynistic, rabble rousing, vocabulary of a 9 year old, dyed head on him, bankrupt, lying SOB,so why not get him on false book keeping!
This piece shows exactly why conservatives view the law differently to progressives;
“Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition. There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.”
They see the law as a weapon, to be held by the in-group, pointed at the out-group, which is to say they are tribalists passionately committed to inequality. They find the idea of the out-group pointing the law at the in-group outrageous and upsetting. Thus their meltdown over an alleged criminal being charged with and arrested for his alleged crimes. Rebecca Solnit, Guardian
Exactly! I mean a guy can't even lie, cheat, incite a mob, ride porn stars, falsify the books, threaten the vice president, without those damn Democrats making a bigly deal of it!
Hey
If they can go after Donald John Trump for falsifying 34 business records
They can come after any of us for falsifying 34 business records
So just like, cool your jets man
and if they can go after DJT for a perfect phone call, then they can go after you for leveraging congressional-approved military aid to ukraine for a personal political favour
Disney puts $17Bn on Florida's table after winning against DeSantis' attempt to yoink their development district (a district which solely governs land which Walt Disney owns) essentially fortifying their win last week and daring Ron to politically jeopardize billions of dollars and uncounted thousands of jobs in the Florida economy to score a pyrrhic political victory.
When addressing the situation in Florida with Governor DeSantis, Reedy Creek Improvement District, and Disney, CEO Bob Iger noted that The Walt Disney Company will be investing billions in Walt Disney World over the next 10 years.
Iger stated that they are planning on investing $17 billion in Walt Disney World over the next 10 years. They will be creating 13,000 new jobs, leading to thousands more indirect jobs, as well as attracting more tourists.
Iger cited the 75,000 employees they have in Florida and 50 million visitors they have brought in this year alone, including 8 million internationally. He pointed out that Disney is the largest taxpayer in the state.
Don't you have a bet to not make somewhere?
What have those libtard homo-lovin' tree-huggers ever done for us?
Of course! You sound like you may be expecting a knock on the door!
It's amazing what a bit of dry shampoo and a good brushing will do for a rug !!!
There's no criminal acts found in the waterwater investigation, instead Ken Starr moved onto the Monica affair
Stormy Daniels has been ordered to pay Donald Trump $120,000 – on the same day that the former president was charged in connection to a $130,000 payment to her.
In a California courtroom 3,000 miles from Manhattan Criminal Court where Mr Trump was arraigned on 34 felony charges on Tuesday, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ordered the adult film star to pay more than $121,000 for his legal fees.
The fees come on top of the more than $500,000 she was previously ordered to pay Mr Trump.
This comes after Ms Daniels lost a defamation lawsuit against the former president back in 2018 after he branded her claims that she was threatened by an unidentified man in a parking lot over their alleged affair a “total con job”.
Thanks to Waterford Whispers I've only remembered that if he's convicted he won't be able to vote in Florida anymore.... Like they say there is nothing about this that is not hilarious
That's my point , a spurious prosecution ! Its just **** slinging and seeing what sticks !
You are mistaken. There's a lot more to this than someone calling someone else a muddy faced booger nose. Federal Grand Juries don't **** around with expeditionary indictments over mere hearsay.
Read the Statement of Facts:
And Legal Eagle's newest response to Trump's current legal status just dropped a couple hours ago if you prefer a bar-certified video digest:
I'm wondering how many times the phrase "... you could indict a ham sandwich..." has been said by talking heads on prime time news coverage in the last 24 hours. I've heard it twice. As a retort, I'm not sure what it is trying to say other than basically claiming that a grand jury ruling doesn't actually mean anything.
Let's put this plainly. There is no aspect of the American justice system or any other national institution that Trump supporters will respect/recognise if it goes against their man. Not one.
The die hards no but they'll never win most elections circling the drain like that.
I'll yield to your forensic knowledge, I know this is part 1 of a 34 indictment , so there's lots of fences still to jump !
They are all adjudicated concurrently in the same court case as needed. The fences and hurdles to adjudicate don't scale linearly with the number of charges.
I washed his private jet and I'm the pope. I have no need for anonymous anecdotes. 😎
lol
It is utterly incomprehensible to me how they have levelled these charges against Trump?
Statued barred misdemeanors that they're trying to fashion into Federal Offences.
Like is Stormy Daniel's going to be indicted on charges of Extortion/Blackmail too??
They have just handed the 2024 Election to Trump.
Well done America.
You would think if they were statued barred that someone would have noticed. Like the AG, someone in the AG office, the grand Jury, the judge appointed or even Trump expensive legal team.
But no, it seems they have all missed that but a few talking heads know it.
As for handing Trump the election, on what basis? He got 74m votes last time, so clearly he got his base out, and there is little evidence to suggest that Trump voters stayed at home.
So that leaves either flipping Biden voters or getting Biden voters to stay home.
Getting indicted, and he has plenty more legal issues coming down the track - Pence has just agreed to give evidence to Jan 6th investigation- will hardly get those voters to either flip or stay at home.
I heard that 62% of independents are in favor of the indictment as well as 20% of Republican voters. To me, that's it for TFG in 2024. Independents are what matters and he'll need 100% of the GQP vote to have a chance. He has neither.
Like in 2020, it's TFG's antics that hand the election to the Democratic party. There's a year yet to go, he's threatening families, promising 'retribution' and basically spewing all over the country, yet again. He's done. Like someone said, like listening to a washed-up old WWE wrestler make the same old threats. "Whatcha gonna do when Hulk Hogan TFG runs wild on you!"
Like how the Democrats choosing Biden handed 2020 to Donny?
Unlikely when you have Republican luminaries such as John Bolton saying there's no way Trump would win a presidential election.
Just off the bat, what evidence do you hold to show that Stormy Daniels made a quid pro quo to trump to hold onto her story? Like for example, if a president withheld approved military aid to a country in return for doing a personal favour?
Didn't take long: threats against the judge, his family, etc. MAGA snowflakes in tough-guy meltdown. They should have a Bud Light and chill.
It will come down to the swing states like it usually does.
The Electoral College system is deeply flawed, a scarecrow could run in the vast majority of states and it would win depending on its party affiliation.Certain states will always vote Red others always Blue.
The Republican base alone cannot elect a president, likewise for the Democrat base but the Democrats can count of the black vote, a large percentage of whom identify as Conservative but vote Democrat. Alot of this is attributed to peer pressure.
Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina, the Republicans have to win a majority of those 6 to stand a chance of winning the election.
Trump won all 6 in 2016, but only 1 in 2020.
Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, these states have voted in unison since 1992.
As the population of Arizona has swelled, its political orientation has also shifted.
In Georgia the huge growth of the Atlanta suburbs, driven by new Black, Asian, and Latino residents tipped the State Blue in the last election.
Pennsylvania is a huge urban/rural split.
Then you have to factor in all internal state politics going on by both parties to try and increase their votes whilst decrease their opponents.
Its nigh on impossible for Trump to win those states, the Republicans need a more moderate candidate than Trump to win these states.
"The Republican base alone cannot elect a president, likewise for the Democrat base but the Democrats can count of the black vote, a large percentage of whom identify as Conservative but vote Democrat. Alot of this is attributed to peer pressure."
Can you support your assertion?
Do you not think the GOP's criticism of BLM, (together with Trump and Miller being out and out racists) would have an awful lot to do with this?
