I was charged a €7.99 "Card delivery fee" - that was only a few months ago, so probably hasn't changed since then. If I recall correctly, I was warned about the charge at the time of ordering.
Just got migrated - trying to figure out the situation with ATM withdrawals now.
It says on their site
https://www.revolut.com/en-IE/legal/standard-fees/
Seems contradictory!
Not really, if you are on the standard plan than you can withdraw 200€ in maximal 5 transactions from your account before you need to pay.
Take 100€ today, 50€ tomorrow and 50€ the day after the next time you go and take money it's 2% with at least 1€ !
The free no limits are only for the Basic Bank Account which is a specific type of account banks (and Revolut UAB is a bank) must offer in line with EU regulations if you don't have any other bank account etc. Details here: Basic bank accounts (citizensinformation.ie)
Ahhhhh Gotcha :)
Thanks!
Just had email confirmation that I’ve been switched to the Irish IBAN.
Vaguely remember when they announced the switch that they said the Lithuanian one would continue to work for a month or so but can’t find the email and want to ensure I didn’t imagine it.
Anyone able to confirm? My payroll cutoff has passed.
Copying from Revolut's initial email:
"You will get your Irish IBAN on the day that we move you to the Irish branch. We will notify you when you have been transferred.
In order to make the transition seamless, you'll still be able to receive payments using your Lithuanian IBAN for two months after you are transferred to the Irish branch.
After that, your Lithuanian IBAN will expire."
Excellent. Thank you.
Hi
New to the group, so forgive me if I get things wrong.
My credit union has not updated it's systems so I had to send an email to them with my new Revolut IBAN and BIC.
Revolut chat said the credit union mustn't have updated their SSI, don't know what that is.
Standing Settlement Instructions
Only for transfers! Not direct debits much to my annoyance.
Was able to change over all my stuff online apart from mortgage with PTSB who I had to call, their system couldn't take the new IBAN so that's on going.
My bin collector got their DD rejected and I got on to Revolut support, they said LT IBAN won't work for DDs at all and the merchant will just have to attempt to take again with the new IBAN.
Has anyone got the IBAN for the AIB account to make credit card payments into from the new (domestic) Revolut account? I've got three bounced back, now waiting to see how my fourth attempt goes.
The Bank of Ireland app doesn't accept the new iban from revolut. Will this sort itself out or will I have to contact or go into the bank I wonder.
In theory it should resolve itself and, in a while, it should accept the new IBAN while BOI updates their database how to convert the IBAN into the bank account/sort code that is still used in the background sometimes.
Revolut/Bunq are to the best of my knowledge not participating in the Account Validation tool of the Banking & Payment Federation Ireland which for example will also create problems when you attempt to use those IBAN's to sign up online for direct debits at Vodafone/eir for the first time etc. which use the Account Validation tool to check if the combination is actually correct.
But I am open to correction.
Revolut website shows Savings Vaults option with at least 2% interest. Not available in Ireland yet though.
Any indication when it will be?
Would you consider using them for car insurance later this year?
Deleted that IBAN just in case.
They accepted it from me, I defined the new IBAN as a payee in the BoI app and successfully transferred money from BoI to Revolut using the Irish IBAN.
Did you copy and paste with the embedded spaces? I copied the IBAN from the Revolut app into a Notepad session, removed the spaces and used that string when defining a new payee in the bank app.
Worked for me first time no issue
SSI - SYSTEMS STANDARDS INCORPORATED SWIFT code is a standard form of Business Identifier Codes (BIC) as an every banks unique code for message exchange needs and also sending money between banks, domestically or internationally.
Tax ID and PPSN are the same.

Basically all you can do is hope you don't get migrated to an Irish IBAN while you're trying to send someone a payment or when a direct debit is due - basically any outgoing payments will bounce. You'd wonder who in Revolut thought it'd be a good idea to migrate customers at the end of month 🤦🏻♂️
A lot of "Financial years" start on April 1st, so it probably looks neater on Revolut's own bookkeeping.
It's the BIC is the issue for me I get a 'can't validate the BIC' error
Lucky you
I left the BIC field blank, most bank apps and websites fill it in automatically because it can be derived from the IBAN. It's seldom mandatory for you to enter a value.
According to Revolut, the BIC should be REVOIE23 but when I go onto 'Manage Payees' in the BoI app, the BIC showing against my Revolut account has this value ....
REVOIE23XXX
So I'd recommend that you go back to the BoI website or app, try it again and just leave the BIC field blank.
Edit: I just checked the BoI website and in 'Add Payee', the BIC field is marked 'Optional'.
The XXX are default characters at the end of every BIC (unless the BIC has additional branch-level information) and can be omitted.
I think you're missing the point. Which is that in the vast majority of cases, you do not need to supply a BIC.
No, I was just following up on the mention of the XXX at the end of a BIC.
A BIC should never be required for a standard SEPA transfer so I would concur with leaving the BIC field blank.
That worked thanks appreciate the help.
Still can't get it to work with the credit union. BIC is a mandatory field in their app. Tried adding the XXX at the end no good.
I was charged 20c on my first atm withdrawal(from BofI atm). Was well within the e200 limit.About a year ago.Just tried it to see if a charge levied.Don't do cash backs either.
