Boeing B-52 reg: 60-0056 " Noble11" is seen on its way back down to Moran AB in Spain after an almost 12 hour mission for its 5 man crew. This particular airframe was built in 1960 and is still incredibly potent, especially after its upgrades in 2014. A regular visitor to Fairford, the aircraft has a spectacular "Black Widow" nose-art depiction on the left side of the nose.
It spent time orbiting Denmark, Sweden, Poland, up the Baltic and then Estonia before taking the long trip back to Moran AB. The trip Involved multiple hook-ups with KC-135's. Please see pics below.

Let's suppose the Ukrainian offensive is a roaring success and the Russians retreat back to Crimea/ Mariupol. The front now stretches from Mariupol to Svatove. And the narrow stretch between Crimea and Kherson.
The Russians will be divided and stretched along a very long frontline. Is this the best chance to try take Crimea? Cut the bridge connection permanently and the land connection is gone too.
A huge chunk of the Russia army won't be on Crimea and won't be free to help out. Is this possibily the only time Russia could lose Crimea? If they somehow lose the rest of Ukraine first and redeploy their entire army to Crimea I can't see how they'd ever lose it.
China should invade and take back all the land Russia took from them, that would be interesting, Russia is so so so so so so weak now, go get em China, take back what's yours.

Same here. I used to laugh at the Putin's doubles thing but I seriously doubt that it was Putin in Mariupol - driving himself around the city - not credible. That would be way beneath him. Standing close to "locals" - not a hope. The Putin of the looonnnggg table would not do this, imo.
Even more than that. UAF has shown very recently that they have the ability to reach Mariupol with suicide drones or some sort of longer range missile anyway.
I too believed the body double thing was a bit of a reach until that. Not ridiculous but just a bit of wishful thinking perhaps.
In my mind there's not a chance that Putin visits a city which could be drone stricken or visited by Uncle HIMARS at any moment. Not a chance.
