I hastily booked a couple of tickets for Field day, didn't expect more gigs to be popping up.
Really happy with the rest of the line up for field day though.

I'm not a fan of being in crowded spaces and rarely go to gigs unless they're very intimate. Would love to watch RDJ on live stream though!
Same, was at Smashing Pumpkins in 95 which kinda scared me off for years. Tragedy.
I remember seeing a poster for Stars of The Lid playing a local gig in a small pub here back in the 2000's, only to realise it was yesterday 😭
Also, missed the RDJ gig in Half Moon theatre here too, 2000's. That's just like a medium sized club.

He's now being confirmed for Sonar festival in Spain and Dour festival, its funny how all the same European festivals are booking him, I hope he plays Ireland somewhere this year as I couldn't be bothered travelling to another country to see him.

He's now down for Kalorama in Portugal on the EP weekend but not Cala Mijas in Spain, so fingers crossed he might be in the EP announcement in April or perhaps All Together Now who still have to make their second announcement.
Looks like they are weekend tickets only and the rest of the lineup wouldn't do much for me even though Lisbon is a great place. Looking at Forwards Festival in Bristol on Sept 2nd with Primal Scream, Leftfield, Amyl, Viagra Boys and that's a great day out for £68.14. Finding it hard to find a reason not to go even though I'll be at Field Day a couple of weeks prior.

Someone upped the full set from Best Kept Secret Festival, he dropped Delphium from SAW 1 at start of set. Got a Field Day ticket so will probably see some of you there. :)
Surprised and delighted to see a new aphex twin release today.
I pre-ordered the vinyl. Sounds pretty good based on the sample track on Spotify.
Only a 4 track release but better than nothing.
Now we just need boards of Canada to release a full length album please.

I'm looking forward to it too. Great line up aside from aphex twin as well. Plenty of other artists to check out. I'll be hoping to catch Jon Hopkins and Moderat as well at least.
You'll be happy to know that I spotted in the clashfinder that Moderat seem to be subbing Aphex Twin on the same stage. Although I don't think that clashfinder is near finalised yet.
I'm in a bit of dilemma now, my niece has fallen out with her boyfriend and has moved out of her gaff in London and now I need to book a hostel for 2 nights in London, does anyone who has done this before recommend decent affordable hostels. There's probably no point in looking at hostels nearer Victoria Park as they are probably all booked out. Second dilemma is that my ticket is defaulted to my niece's phone number, I've been trying to get in touch with the folk in Kaboodle to change the default phone number to my Irish number as I tried to log in to app to view my ticket and it was giving me incorrect username and email. If I get my niece to download the AXS app is it easy enough to transfer ticket. I can log into Kaboodle on laptop and view ticket so if you can print ticket that would be great, can you bring a print out to field day or do you need to have the ticket in your phone. Thanks if any of you can help me with this info.
It seems on this tour he's been dropping various tracks from SAW 1, Delphium at Best Kept Secret and Xtal at Sonar, I hope he drops Schottkey 7th Path at Field Day which would be nice.
To anyone who's done Field Day before, do they accept print outs of tickets, my AXS app won't work but I can log in to Kaboodle and view my ticket there, if I do that through my phone can I still get access to the festival.
I haven't gone before but from I what can see online you can just print out the ticket.

I would recommend emailing Kaboodle, that's what they advise if there are any ticket related enquiries on the last email i have from them.
Yeah that one is probably the Australian Field Day which is a completely different lineup :)
Well got the app sorted out and can view ticket, all I need to do now is book hostel in London for two nights.

Picked up a copy today and there are more tracks with the digital download included. Also an app where the cover comes to life but you need a decent phone for it
Just found out the app doesn’t just work on the front cover. The outer sleeve and inner sleeve of the vinyl also have their own animation.
Do love the outer sleeve though. It's like a 1994 sampler menu :)
Thanks for the heads up, I've been meaning to register online. I heard something about 4 extra tracks (and another one more recently), but also read that some of those tracks seemed to be alternative masters of the same tracks on the record?
The app looks pretty cool, must give that a go.
The outer sleeve is great alright, I'll have to be very careful to keep it in good condition, I almost threw it out as packaging because it's thin plastic! :)
