Have 4 or 5 pairs but prefer boots
I have a pair of Trekmates CAIRNGORM GTX GAITER which I find very good.
I also have a pair of British Army issue dpm gortex gaiters,
These are as tough as old boots and I use them when in really tough, heavy cover that would tear anything else to bits.
THey are slightly heavier but really tough.

You should take a look at Kuiu gaiters . They are having a sale in at the moment aswell
Using a pair of the Irish army issue gaiters for the last couple of years. Doing the job just fine and honestly can’t fault them at all.
Go the military surplus route, cheaper and not just Gucci gear
I've used high mil boots and mil gaters for years, believe me they do work.
Most and good quality gortex gaters should work fine if they are put on and used correctly. I think the quality of the boots you use is also most important, (waterproof/gortex boots, the higher the better or as high as you feel comfortable with).
Retired from hunting these past years but I still have the boots/gaters, stuff accumulates and we all hate throwing out stuff.

Thanks folks, I ended up getting a set of berghaus goretex gaiters.
Usually use my meindl woodwalker chainsaw boots as well so should be well covered now.
Anyone else with a size 13.5-14 have recommendations for boots? They're hard got in that size.
Meindl don't do every boot in the bigger sizes unfortunately.
Merrell do but they don't last.
