You are paying a massive premium for getting it all done from the one company. To get it anyway reasonable you would have to organise the trades separately yourself.
O Sullivan Bathrooms is the brother of B4U owner. Both provide a high quality service to be fair.
Theres another guy doing it but I don’t know much about them, Lee Bathrooms. They have a Facebook page with plenty of pictures of their work posted.
The fireworks display in the early evening yesterday was excellent and a good buzz around town for it.
Good to hear. In fairness to Tralee, any time I was in the town over Christmas there was a good atmosphere and buzz around. Shops, pubs, restaurants all seemed busy. And the town was/is looking much better imo.
What idiot thought it was a good idea to leave the big spotlights onn the corners of the museum turned on during the fireworks.
Looking up it was all we could see.
Really random query! I bought a house with a garden pond that has a large fish living in it. I am wondering if anyone knows anyone local that looks after pond maintanence and maybe fish care also? I've tried google, facebook etc and am having no luck. I think it needs to be drained and cleaned but dont want to mess with it myself.
It might be worth asking in Petmania or one of the other pet shops who sell fish. They may know who to contact about it or give you advise on what to do with it.
Sad to read about Brudairs closing, but the footfall must have been down significantly, with only Guiney's and Boots doing much business around Abbeycourt now.
Why would Peter Mark, DV8 and Dealz all expand their stores if business was bad in that area? Also Tesco there does well too. Not sure of exact reasons why they closed but lots of people lamenting the closure of a business without ever giving it the regular custom it needs will not help it turn a profit.
its very busy in Abbey court. As was mentioned, various businesses have expanded their stores there. All seem busy anytime I'm in and around there. As far as I know Brudairs is closing due to retirement. It always seems busy when I pass by
Apparently Mizzoni Pizza is reopening. Where I am not sure, but I got an email from them to say it was reopening in Tralee!
I wonder is that coffee shop Boherbean closed down? It wasn't open in the last week or so before Christmas and hasn't reopened since.
Had a coffee from there a while ago and wasn't impressed. Beans were burnt
only good coffee in Tralee is at the Roast House on Denny.
The polish place next to Costa in the Mall is good.
The Nu Place opposite Shaws does a good Americano too. I wonder if the town has reached coffee saturation point if that place in Boherbee didn't succeed? Loads of cafes now and every Spar/Mace/Gala etc does relatively decent freshly grinded takeaway coffee too.
Parkgate might have something to say about that! Miles better imo
As would Amaretto on Ashe St.
I'm going to second that opinion on the Nu Place, really nice coffee in there and the staff are pleasant too
And Maddens up near Roundys bar.
All in all, there are quite a few decent coffee shops in Tralee.
Need to visit more of them, but wasn't impressed with Parkgate although the staff were very nice. I think there are perhaps too many in Tralee, but may the best shop win.
I also didn't like the coffee in Boherbean. My favourite for coffee is Ugly Mug/Glasshouse. Love Parkgate coffee too and Amaretto is also good. Daily grind is ok, Yummys isn't too bad. I haven't tried Nu Place yet.
I found the ugly mugg and glasshouse burnt Or just no flavour depending on when I got it. I bring in a fresh ground coffee to work on the morning and have a French press for later in the day
...
Are you looking at the page for a bar in Clonmel? Can't see anything to that effect re:the bar in Tralee
https://www.facebook.com/GreyhoundClonmel/
Yea my mistake, thank god!
I don't understand why people leave there own home and buy coffee anywhere. What's the idea around it
Its a daily treat for me. I don't go out, I rarely drink. You could say the same about people who to the pub! Each to their own!
Surely for much the same reasons folk eat in restaurants and drink in pubs.
I'm the same. No fancy coffees back in the day. You got coffee and tea in a polystyrene cup for about 50 pence. Just out of interest how many coffee shops are in Tralee I don't know how they all make a living with the cost of rents in Tralee , the only one I see doing well is the one opposite the Brandon ,I'm delighted for them it's a small business
I think most towns and cities are reaching (if they haven't already) saturation point with coffee shops. Hard to see them all lasting when the price for a cappuccino/latte is hovering around 4 quid. I'd rather spend another euro and have a pint!
