America has administered its first Lethal injection of 2023 to a transgender woman.
Why is a first world country still putting its citizens to death, particularly using a one drug method
Plenty of concentration camp inmates were "convicted" of something
While still a man , they stalked , harassed and eventually raped and murdered their ex girlfriend and disposed of her body in a river .
They began their transition in Prison. Amber McLaughlin according to google.
You can’t distinguish between any human when it comes to medical testing. Your suggestion that any human should be used as a medical test subject without their consent is absolutely vile, and worthy of the Mengle comparison. You’re in absolute Nazi territory.
Yet again, please read up on what has actually happened, rather than making guesses and assumptions about what you think should happen.
One of the complaints about lethal injection is that it's done by people who don't know how to inject, along with them not knowing how to administer the drugs. The problem isn't just difficulty finding the veins, it's not uncommon for the muscle to be injected due to the person simply not knowing what they are doing.
Given my own experience of having blood tests by professionals over the years I'm not surprised somebody occasionally inserting a line might have difficulty.
Veins can be tricky to find, particularly in substance abusers I'd imagine.
I'm not saying that the death penalty fixes anything. Just that's the context in which it exists. The USA may be the first world in terms of gdp alright but there are large geographical areas that are more similar to the developing world. And unlike most countries there is no cohesive national identity, culture or sense of community that covers the whole country, its a country made up of factions.
They don't even have one to do that.
The only involvement of a medical professional is to insert the IV line.
any further involvement would be a huge breqch of medical ethics
Ireland can't be compared to the USA.
The USA is a huge world power, nuclear power, innovator, space explorer, country ... It is diverse, has 66 times the population of Ireland, can't go crying to the UK or EU for direction or protection.
Edit ...
So, we've got a legal, law and enforcement system from the last century. It's going to need a radical overhaul to cater for the problems we currently have and the huge changes coming in the next decades.
It is when you don't know how to do it. It's why so many have failed over the last number of years.
Would have thought that was a basic.
Cant be overly complicated to give an overdose of barbiturates though.
You can't distinguish between innocent people experimented on and convicted criminals. Thats whats vile, maybe you think being a convicted Jew was valid and akin to a convicted murderer.
There are no trained medical professionals involved in any of those executions in the US. Be it doctor, nurse or vet.
Firing squad must be the quickest?
Interesting to see how you proposed doing medical experiments on non-consenting participants, but my historical reference is somehow 'vile'.
You might want to do some research on why this hasn't worked across the States for the last couple of decades.
General anesthetic you can what you like to them painlessly.
I see vets on the TV administer lethal injections to animals every other evening painlessly, quickly and peacefully. Don't tell me the same can't be done to humans.
Are you saying the Jews Mengele experimented on were convicted criminals?
What a vile claim.
What methods are you referring to?
That was tried before, didn't work out too well.
And nothing of value was lost
What's the trans relevance?
A quick injection seems a bit too humane given the crimes that have been perpetrated
What did the person who was executed in this case actually do? What was their crime?
I know of 2 cases where a single punch ruined lives.
A guy I worked with was standing outside a club when someone clocked him in the face. He hit the ground and while he survived, he suffered permanent brain damage. He went from being a sharp guy to someone with slurred speeche and who repeats the same sentences several times during a chat.
My Brother was sucker punched when talking to a girl he was friends with. The scumbag had done the same thing to a policeman years previously and got off on the charge somehow on a technidality. Had he been convicted and executed, my Brother would be alive today. Jail time would not guarantee scum like that would be rehabilitated.
You didn't make a point and are now openly lying and spewing insults. I won't respond to your drivel any more.
We could learn a thing or two from them. The death penalty should be seen as a tool to remove a problem and nothing else.
Plenty of murderers walking our streets which is equally as deplorable as anything the American justice system offers.
Good enough for the vile scumbag.
The death penalty is a bit of a waste. Scum like those on death row could be made use of in medical tests/trials, make them be of some use.
Again you have not answered my point, the US Is a diverse country, new York and texas are like different planets
Your post was racist and you should refrain from that kind of talk , as a mod you would ban someone if they wrote that about Africa
It doesn't. The thread is about the US. Your whataboutery is just irrelevant drivel.
