Also got a bike helmet and seems I missed out on the candle bundles

How many have just given up on the app?
It was only ever worth using if there was a treat to get otherwise I don’t bother scanning, the freebies weren’t great and thanks to this thread I knew if they were worth getting
well so far i have seen them offering 1 clementine at 19c 🙈 in Ireland (reduced from 39c) so probably wishful thinking but who knows…
It’s only the 10th give it time
Got it yesterday in Terenure, they had loads of tubs of the 4 different sweets. Had €75 of shopping in my trolley and it went down to €66 between the sweets, parkrun and few other Lidl+ treats. Just activate the offer in the app.
do find the offers not as good and but still go to Lidl more than before; very rarely visit Aldi
Not anymore. Supermarkets agreed with producers in 2014 not to sell them that low again.
They were low just before covid
Nope.
Last time they were low was Xmas 2013, when they fell to 5c! In 2014, supermarkets voluntarily agreed not to sell at unsustainable prices
I wouldn’t worry about stock of the sweets, there aware millions of them in my local Lidl.
Ive gotten the 15% off bakery items twice in a row now. It suits me fine, the missus makes me buy croissants every week anyway.
:(
ah now that’s stupidly low, the super 6 was around the 20 cent mark the Christmas covid was kicking in
just checked the leaflet and what the U.K. get for 19p we are getting for 49c it’s not as good but I will take it all day long
Some in the UK were giving the veg away last year, probably will again this year too.
my local lidl seemed to have tonnes of stock and reduced the crap out of it with reduced sticker and all the turkeys just after christmas were dirt cheap which is handy for the deep freezer
I'm surprised Lidl hasn't started selling of near expired veg for a few cent. Many supermarkets in the UK and Canada do it and it stops waste.
Anyone know the 3rd scratchcard?
It's above
Out of interest does anyone know if they stopped the freebies in the UK as well?
Don't think the UK has had freebies for ages, or at least not 3 a week.
The UK gets a meter that fills up to a money-off qpon if I'm not mistaken.
No scratch-offs.
Not specifically related to the Lidl app but still;
Lately I've experienced instances of being overcharged at both my two local Lidl shops - incorrectly charged on bakery items, charged for incorrect number of items, discount not applied on discounted items... you cannot make it up. Earlier today this was 5.54 on a c.120 shop, last weekend similar. I've reported both instances but still awaiting a proper (not automated) response. In the past I just sucked it up but it's past that point now.
Check your receipt!
Same in one of my locals, one is worse than the other for it. Maybe it’s just on the run to Christmas but Also noticed they have gone lax with dates so check sell by dates, as twice now I’ve bought out of date items which were well past their sell by on day of purchased. I photographed & emailed customer service who apologised & said return at store which is miles away.
Haven't spotted anything actually out of date, but have noticed lately there is feck all date left on them.... picked up bread product that had a day left on it, some packs of meat for sandwiches may only have 2/3 days left on it!! This really pisses me off as my shopping has gone up an easy 50% the last couple of weeks, only to have stuff last a day or two. I'm more conscious of what I'm picking up, rarely bother with the offers in the app as the stuff on them is just so fecking random!!
Was it the same as last week then?
Worse. €3 off €40 instead of off €30.
I was charged for the easy peeler oranges that should have been free on the app yesterday week. Emailed them Monday got an auto response then Wednesday got another saying CS is very busy, etc nothing since then and its been a week now.
1st scratch card -15% off bakery.
2nd scratch card- 15% off Glensallagh cooked meats
3rd scratch card - free candy canes or Ice tea zero
5th scratch card - 50% ch0co Santa or Salted popcorn
I think LIDL have made a massive mistake changing the treats to % off discounts. They have underestimated the novelty of picking up a small treat like wine gums or chocolate for free has on the customer. It was costing them a tiny amount and many shoppers will now be switching their entire shopping elsewhere. Huge own goal by them.
