USING AN ENIGMA2 BOX WITH WIFI FROM APTUS BB - ROUTER IS FRITZBOX 4040- USB DONGLE

Has anyone set up a wi fi dongle in a satellite box and connected it to a fritzbox 4040? BB is wireless by line of sight. Its not connecting!!

Any hints or tips?

USB DONGLE WILL WORK WITH PHONE HOTSPOT.

My usual process for this is to setup the dongle with it plugged into a laptop or PC 1st.

Add network details and PW, then confirm it connects.

Once that's done, I plug it into the router, restart GUI and proceed with adding the connection via menu > setup > network > device to see if the dongle is visible and then set as active.

**Forgot to say, check that the dongle chipset is "Known good" with E2. Not all dongles work with AFAICR.

Aha that makes sense, but when you say plug into router do you mean sat box, its a Zgemma H7S,. Yes the dongle worked with box when phone hotspot was used.
