Szczesny saves again! Justice imo.
That’s a farce decision
The Messi factor there. Good save!!
I don't know. That's soft. The ball was gone, Messi had headed wide and over.
That decision is corrupt.
No other player gets that decision.
Joke
Shocking decision.
Corrupt as you get.
ridiculous penalty call
That is the biggest joke ever
The fix is in.
What a great save and totally deserved.
Not a penalty for me.
Why is the ref being asked to look at this
Well this doesn't normally end well. Could be a penalty for Argentina.
Better not be a pen for this.
As soft as it gets. Don't think that gets given for any other player.
Non alc is available.
Bud Zero is for sale in stadiums
Did I see fans drinking pints earlier?
Love Saudi to go through as play well but have a bet on Mexico
Australia has 25m people.
USA has 332m people.
Ireland has 5m.
Puts to bed your nonsense.
Ben White has left the England squad for personal reasons and will not return.
Based on how Poland generally perform in big games at major tournaments I fully expect them to roll over tonight and Argentina to win 3-0
If Australia were based in Europe it’s probably highly unlikely they’d qualify. That needs to be borne in mind. Fair play to them for getting out of the group though. Pleased for them.
A friend of a friend he got beaten
He looked the wrong way at a gendarme...
Two interesting games. It could be Messi's last World Cup appearance but I think Argentina will edge it. I also fancy Mexico will beat the Saudis but not by enough goals, so Poland will scrape through in second.
I agree, not been impressed by them at all, but if they do and end up finishing top it’s hard to see Australia stopping them in the next round.
You think Argentina will beat Poland ?
Wouldnt be surprised if they went out later.
I predict that Paris is gonna see some rioting tonight.
Edit: maybe Copenhagen too (but not by the Danes)
That excellent point, I didn’t think of that. It is especially relevant with Australia as they don’t have that big a population 25m - but has all those sports ahead of soccer.
Yep, the BBC seem to think France are damaged by the loss in a meaningless game for them.
Its starting
Both themselves and the USA aren't doing too bad for countries that wouldn't rank soccer as anything near their national sport. Puts to bed the notion from certain sections that the popularity of GAA is to soccer's detriment in this country.
Not to be pedantic but I know how some would react in the Netherlands if you say Holland
Edit. Plus the Netherlands were no great shakes at time and you can be quiet sure a full France team on from the start and it would have been a different game given how it changed after the substitutes
Exactly what it should be like for the last 2 games.
I feel sorry for Tunisia. They must be looking back and wondering how they out-possessed and "out shot" Australia, but lost.
More of the same tonight please.
