At this stage you have to use a video game analogy. Ukraine started with bronze star guys. russia had bronze and some silver. russia has pretty much lost all it's silvers and bronze now just using fresh troops. Ukraine now is just creating more an more gold star troops. Talking like a RTS game. You cant win against that quality of troops vs none at all.

I don't think this is the case, at least not anytime soon.
The Russians have made gains in the south, but there are still 4-5 roads open into the city. At the current rate of progress it's going to take several months until Ukraine are cut off and forced to abandon the city.

Well those tweets confirming russian gains were posted this morning - no news on a counter attack yet.
Also even liveuamap have updated the frontline to show the russian gain south of bakhmut - and they have a very pro-ua slant so its clearly not looking good there.
