It does the heart good to see some of these folks getting hauled before the courts.
Utterly bonkers defense from this lad
Anyone know of others?

Yeah you’re dead right, just not in the way you think.
Yeah, 120,000 or so I believe?
The lockdown zealots were warned of this when we had the longest lockdown in Europe. Now we are paying the price. Excess deaths through the roof. Mental health and other issues now coming to the fore. And we spent 25billion on lockdown (12 childrens hospitals) on supports.
Yes, also known as the Sam McConky school of Covid modelling.
correct, it is not in the way he thinks but the way he knows for a fact based on the evidence, which backs us not you.
we didn't have the longest lock down in europe.
we would have spent 50 billion or more and would have multiples of the problems if we were stupid enough to not implement the vital and necessary public health measures that were required to minimise the spread of the covid 19 virus.
and we wouldn't have a health system at all.
Seems to disagree.
Come on will you give him finally a break? He is an expert in this.
😊
no, it doesn't.
the poster claimed we had the longest lock down in europe, we didn't.
your link simply states we had the longest lock down for pubs ETC which is probably true given enough of them kept acting the b///x.
0 marks out of 10 i am afraid, try again.
Enough of who kept acting the bollox? Another example of the insufferable finger-pointing that so many are guilty of during this.
pubs etc, would have thought that was obvious but it seems i have to spend my sunday spoon feeding people.
Ah yeah the auld “granny killers just looking for a pint” bullshit. Nonsense then, nonsense now.
it's you who mentioned granny killers not me.
Uhuh.
Convicted in her absence... wonder what happend if / when she doesnt pay the fine:
Gemma O’Doherty has been convicted and fined in her absence for breaching Covid-19 regulations by leaving her home in Dublin and travelling to Cork in December 2020 for an anti-lockdown protest.

I look forward to her Supreme Court application to overturn the 750 eur fine
I look forward to her Supreme Court application to overturn the 750 eur fine being thrown out
FYP
😂😂👍
She should just have gone to an Oireachtas golf society dinner instead.
There's lots of people that should be facing consequences of the past 3 years, plenty of whom are not necessarily "anti-vax".
Yeah, it was a farce that that was tried in the District Court. But that's what being "well connected", "highly respected in the local community" etc etc gets you.
There were some high profile casualties of golf gate wasn't there, if not in the courts of law, but there were consequences.
Did the lad driving from coast to coast ala Smokey and the bandit ever get a fine ?
Dunno but probably paid enough in fuel taxes to equate to the fine!
Its like Oisin returning from Tir na n'Og... feet cant touch the ground...
The latest case loss for the anti side. Seems like even the law of averages is against them
A Polish national living in Ireland has lost a claim that he was discriminated against by the Department of Health over the requirement to take a Covid-19 test every time he passed through Dublin Airport during the pandemic.
The Workplace Relations Commission ruled that the claimant, Tomasz Pysz, has failed to establish a prima facie breach of the Equal Status Act on grounds of disability.
another victory after another.
so much winning for those of us who deal in facts and losing for those who don't.
long may it continue.
the anti-side just don't get it that most don't buy what they are selling as they have nothing worth selling.
Anti-side! Seriously!
The damage that has been done and continues to be done by restrictions/lockdowns won`t be known for years and by then its too late.
How many here stated that the above would happen and what were they called. Even a TD in the Dail posed the above and was told to `Get Real`!
Utter insanity and stupidity which we will all pay for years to come! I supported lockdown at the start as we didn`t know what we were dealing with. But as time wore on restrictions/lockdown policies became stupid, political and far too long no matter what the PRO side tried to sell me!
The law was the law and people who broke the law obviously will be punished however that doesn`t mean some of the laws weren`t stupid in the first place!
Thankfully the vaccines and omicron got us out of this mess!
Restrictions and lockdowns weren't political. Every country chose to put in place measures, restrictions and partial (or limited) lockdowns in order to curb the spread, protect lives and protect national healthcare systems from failing.
The virus still killed 6+ million people in just over 2 years and an estimated 100,000+ doctors and medical professionals and staff.
We were aware of the drawbacks, we didn't have many options (we still had insane amounts of cases a year after the initial surge) and haggling over the details with perfect hindsight is a bit ridiculous. A majority of people (and experts) have supported most of these measures throughout.
we already do know the damage, it's nothing compared to what your lot would have inflicted on us.
@live4tkd: Utter insanity and stupidity which we will all pay for years to come!
Presumably you have evidence of this and are in a position to quantify it.
So many in this thread are the living embodiment of this meme:
And yet I'm sure most of you are also in the China lockdown thread with bleeding hearts for the protesters fighting against their tyrannical oppressors.. 🙄
