The triggering of Article 5 would just mean that NATO agrees to respond as one, not that they are starting to use nukes or that Russia would use nukes in response.
NATO doesn't need to resort to nukes to destroy Russia. Russia might only have nukes left that they can use against NATO, but even they are surely aware of consequences of starting down that road... And how many could they actually unleash before they get wiped out themselves?
But, yes the UK would likely be at the top of any Russian target list. Its not the US so they could claim to not have attacked the US (ignoring article 5),but is a softer target and also not too close to Russia itself such as if they nuked NATO countries on their own borders.
Ground burst weapons would increase the fallout levels downwind of the detonations. Targets like airfields, airports, silos etc would probably be attacked in this way.
Solovyov is one of the main BS artists on Russian TV. Even the other panelists on his TV show are having to try and rein him in with his talk of WW3, Armageddon, nuclear holocaust etc. He's not a serious pundit.....he seems to be just on TV as a sensationalist.

For all those who demand peace to end the bloodshed, this is the sort of 'peace' Russia brings to territories it occupies.
What stands out for me after the Poland incident is that NATO appears firmly committed to arming and keeping Ukraine in the fight, but is equally determined to prevent a spread of the conflict. The same as since Feb 24 tbh.

The difference been, what seems a deliberate strike on Poland, "testing" the waters. This is a new direction, if that's what's happened then the Allied response could also change direction. As you say they may not put boots on the ground, but escalating the Air space and type of equipment they supply could change. Maybe we will see another Russian boat or sub sinking mysteriously.

Nobody has categorically said it was a x, y or z missile, what we do know is Poland and USA are very reluctant in letting Ukraine in to inspect. Draw your own conclusions. Like I said "it would seem". If I was giving proof, I would have said "it's with certainty"
Zelensky says something about the origin of a single cruise missile (among many thousands that have been fired at Ukrainian civilians by the Russian terrorist state). Talk about an overreaction.

He's going to have to be careful. Furtively going about the place at night with a bag of equipment in an active war zone can get you into some trouble if not shot. We're not talking Battersea or Manchester in peacetime here.
While I am not a military man to any degree I would think the reason the US are not keen for the Ukrainian inspectors on the grounds in Poland to snoop is rather dull no one can guarantee the resulting inspectors will not be secret Russians interlopers who would aim to disrupt the investigation in order to damage relations between Ukraine/Poland and the US. That would be music to Putin's ears.

If article 5 is ever used its because someone have been invaded or attacked by another country or terrorists,as stated by article 5.
If nukes are ever used,its because the attacker used nuclear weapons when attacking
I've had the same happen. Opel Vectra ran right under my left track. It was a straight dual carriageway, we initially thought he had to be a suicide car bomb until he slammed the brakes just before he hit us. We were stationary by that point.
Broke his nose, no airbags I guess. Obviously we asked him why the hell he hit us, his response was that he didn't see the tank.
(I think he was looking right at the "idiot" blocking him on the main road as he hit the gas and overtook said car which had slowed for some reason). And then didn't cop the tank for a moment or two after he looked forward again.

USA and Poland have said it was a Ukrainian AA missile, and have also agreed to let Ukrainian inspectors visit the site.
