Fcuksake.
My main wonder with those ads is why they use Geneva as a mishearing when they have a major rival named after another Swiss city!
BINGO ! Great minds think alike, I actually thought this tooand thought it was just me and my oddity for liking geography stuff. Why on earth did they get the child to say Geneva, the moment I hear of Geneva and insurance i automatically think of Zurich Insurance, Im not sure does many other people. If you were to ask me what insurance company the ad is for I would automaticcaly go for Zurich just because Geneva is mentioned. and really if this child is about 5/6 would they really know or even be familiar with the word/city "Geneva" like where would they have ever been in contact with it in reality? it would have been more realistic to come up with "ALIMA" or some nonsensical word a child may come up with.
ALIMA wouldn't work either. People would think of Aviva.
What are the words to the airport song. It finishes with sepp—-erate it???
Not annoying in itself, just the name Tir Lán for Glanbia, as the new ad reminds us. Complete with mis-spelling and translates as 'full country'.
A nonsense mock-Gaelige name dreamt up in a boardroom brainstorm. Fcuksakes an Irish company can't even get it right, just goes to show all the funding and promotion of it has been a waste of time and money all along.
Glanbia was equally as bad - Like "Bus Lana" or "Rampai" just irish-ising an english phrase and making a hames of it
Your one droning on and on about Gordon Ramsay being so great to work with they decide to cut her off.
It's a particularly bad one, worse than those Sage ads with the one forgetting to hang up and yer man banging on about Fridays
What sort of drugs were they on when coming up with that ad. The woman is rambling on about Gordon Ramsey and something to do with an Italian restaurant, she's then cut off mid sentence and it segways into offering tax services. To top it off their name is "Evelyn partners in Ireland" and they have an English actress playing the rambling woman. Maybe it's an accountant's bad attempt at humour.
It's a terrible ad, but she's not an actress but an English chef called Angela Hartnett. But I didn't get that from the ad itself.....
How on earth her ramble (and it's weird cut off) is supposed to sell anything in Ireland is beyond me. Didn't realise it was for a tax service until now.
The woman writing a letter to her Menopause...
Oh God. I've just heard that - go away woman.
The one about pensions(I think) where to stop us getting bored she shouts periodically.😲
Tirlán doesn’t work at all for me either. Lán is a long vowel syllable in descending cadence, so doesn’t have a positive upbeat finish to it.
It's unbelievable - 'We're going to make this ad, and to really annoy you more, I will become extra annoying at times and you will either change station or switch off your radio for a minute and completely miss what I'm trying to sell to you'
And the company that commissioned the ad says - 'Great job, lets run with that'
Giga-boogie in your Giga-basement...
Why don't you Giga-fcuk off?
The Gaiety Panto is back, not that you could miss it. The ad is ok the first few times but after that it’s bloody annoying
It's not just any old Panto though....
Robo vacuum cleaner. Lit scented candle. Curtains. Fire. Phone Watch.
It's not the worst ad on radio, but it irritates me greatly.
That office equipment ad with whiny office staff begging Santa for office stuff.
"Hi I'm Liz o Donnell here to remind you I'm still suckin at the taxpayers teat".... Drive safely now 🚘 beep-beep ching-ching baby 💶💶
That Jersey Boys ad is deeply irritating. I like the guys music in a passing sense but the snippets from the show sound awful. Please make it stop
The new menopause ad, where the word menopause is bleeped out. Incredibly annoying ad the most part, but I can't help chuckle at the last line of the ad, to me the last bleep makes it sound like the woman is saying "f*ck the government of Ireland"
Really?
Is this radio station broadcasting from 1935?
Well that's the whole point of the ad. "Don't be afraid to talk about the menopause"
Possibly a bit harsh, but if I met Paul and his elderly neighbour on their way back to the Citroen in the car park with a TV and a gazebo, it wouldn't end well...
...for Paul and his elderly neighbour
That one with some interior decorator saying something like : "But we have a bit of a wild card - rustic pine needle, which is a bit edgier."
I have no idea what on earth they are trying to sell
M'lady has been asked for her first dance of the season this morning!
Oh wow, a slightly different shade of dark green. You go girl.
