It looked spectacular, but if it's back in operation already it's kind of anticlimactic, and security will be even tighter around it now. It's feels like a near miss, like when the IRA nearly got Thatcher...close, but not quite there ...
Yeah, some unknown Twitter guy, with comments section turned off. Seems legit
TASS report that Kadyrov said that “if necessary”, 70,000 Chechen fighters could be sent to battle Satan, Nazis, etc in Ukraine. Not that they were actually going to go. That footage is from a military parade in Grozny. Basically a communal TikTok dance.
How would Kadyrov protect his regime from all the people who oppose him if he sent all the military under his control to Ukraine? He needs them to rule with the iron fist that he does. he’s spent most of the war spoofing.
It's still good
There are an increasing number of murky incidents awaiting convincing explanation: this, the Dugina killing, and the gas pipelines...
Yes, and within 2 and half hours too! Russian propaganda for the home audiencias in " Its only a scratch" not a mortal wound type of response. But I can't see heavy train traffic going on it for quite a while.
Well, I'd say that the majority of traffic (light vehicle anyway) will be headed towards Russia.....any heavy traffic will be re-supply trucks to the military. And God only knows when the railway will be operational again. And all the time expecting bombing nr 2, 3,4,5, 6 etc. until the bridge is put beyond use.
They've the one lane open for propaganda purposes. How can this be safe?
An accident ?
Bless your cotton socks, when was the last time you heard of a bridge being blown up by accident. Especially a bridge of this standard in wartime
Don't go there for Zeus's sake...
Even in some cases where we're certain that Ukraine carried out attacks we're still not 100% sure exactly how they did it:
Some of it may have to wait till this is all history and people in the know from both sides are willing to speak and reveal sensitive information...
Dude, you need to work on your critical faculties. Far to credulous you are.
That was some mistranslation. I hope whomever had the stupidity to suggest that he said that looses their Job.
I blame the dolphins for not defending the bridge
It will make Putin flip out
Use critical thinking not “lots of posts are saying”.
Chechcnya: population 1.5m
70k = 10% of male population. But about 200k are children and probably another large portion old or unable to fight, so realistically 70% is probably 20-30% of the able bodied male population. That would work out well for them.
Also, Russia is not particularly popular in Chechnya you know. Control is largely through goon squads and greasing palms rather than loyalty to mother Russia. If 70,000 Chechens were armed and sent off to Ukraine, a significant portion, once you get past the cohort whose loyalty has been purchased, would likely take the opportunity to turn on the Russians.
We don't want a second country angry at whales and dolphins:
I'm sure they served a purpoise
And it's the same footage they used when Kadyrov said 10k soldiers would be sent months ago.
Not to mention the possibility that it will be attacked again....and again, and again!!! But the important thing for the Russian now at this point is damage limitation (not the physical kind) but the propaganda kind,,,,as in " Sure it got hit, but only minor damage was done. Look, 2 hours later, traffic is again moving between Crimea and Mother Russia.😊
Would Putin do a Hitler on it? Fake his death and vanish off to Argentina?
Maybe, in order to convince his fellow Russian's, that the bridge only suffered minor ( cosmetic even) damage, he might even drive a vehicle across it himself???
Maybe. He did it before in a truck when it opened. Could be a tank this time?
Why would Zelesky gift such a propaganda statement like that to Putin??? Imagine the capital Putin's propaganda department could make out of that... " Look we were right all along, Zelensky wants nuclear war, he's even said it himself!!!"
Nope, their first priority would be to de-throne the Kadyrov clan. The only thing keeping him in power is Putins support.
Yes, maybe there is in existence a video of Putin driving a vehicle ( on the Russian side though) oat the official opening, but so far anyway, he has not been seen or heard from within 100's or 1000's of Klm's of the actual war.
Don't claim to have not seen something in a 2000+ page thread if you haven't looked at even 1% of it.
it was squids in Red alert IIRC Dolphins the allies side.
Well the official Ukraine position is that their intelligence indicates internal Russian elements did it, which would easily explain getting around security if true.
I don't want to be a scare monger but one comeback to this and other setbacks would be to blow up the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP).
Which might explain this as a preperation for a false flag:
Kiev's plan was to turn ZNPP into dirty nuclear bomb — Russian MFA
2 days agoMOSCOW, October 7. /TASS/. Kiev's plan was to convert the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant into a dirty nuclear bomb, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said. "Extremist ...
Why if you 'own' the ZNPP would be needing to fund energy infrastructure links to Crimea?
