And yet your wrong .
Imagine that.
You don't actually understand what your claiming nobody has gone into russia and counted every tank since 1950 , which are currently rusting away all over russia,
That doesn't make them combat ready or capable,
they are scrap metal,
Looks like you were mixing up tanks and armoured vehicles, estimated at 10,200.
Estimate for tanks (max) is 4,800. But, we know Russian Battle groups are not at their maximum. 3k tanks originally sounds about right.
so, 1,000 known battle tanks destroyed. How many armoured vehicles?
Read it and weep…. https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidhambling/2022/03/15/how-many-tanks-does-russia-have-in-ukraine-and-how-many-have-they-lost-so-far/?sh=f21ec725682e
When I quote accepted global studies from accredited universities or companies vs you quoting twitter .
According to you
The International Institute for Strategic Studies ( a world-leading authority on global security, political risk and military conflict ) = Wrong
The Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) ( the world's oldest and the UK’s leading defence and security think tank) = Wrong
Twitter and your imagination = Right
People should complain about energy prices. Their governments need to support them.
Should have no bearing on a country’s support for Ukraine against Hitler 2.0.
And there will be Russian agents in the mix also.
The Czech’s know what it’s like to have Russians lord over them.
But you have been very much wrong before
Absolutely. Please do. Also page 191 for a detailed equipment and personnel list.
Don't forget now
This canard has been totally discredited already on the thread.
Do you think they counted the tanks and checked they were operational? Well? Give us the 'facts'?
Sure, it's a fact that's what they reported. That doesn't make it real or the actual facts of how many serviceable tanks they have ready for use.
Earlier on the thread you didn't even realise the difference between active military personnel ready for action and reserves, and parroted the same nonsense about 'facts'.
So many tanks ... or paperweights

Thanks for the page number. I'll have a look tomorrow, in full rather than one page (while focusing on that and its claims).
I might add that much of documentation I review, tends to contradict itself at some point, is open to interpretation, or in some cases, is downright misleading.
Looking forward to the read tomorrow - By which time I'm sure you will have moved onto another strawman
Didn't one commander commit suicide early in the war because his tanks were inoperable (some had engines stolen)? The fact that Russia has resorted to T64s is telling.
Seems not everyone was there for energy prices.
"Members of extreme political groups that demand exit from the EU and NATO, including the far-right Freedom and Solidarity and the Communist Party, were scheduled to speak at the rally, according to the organizers’ website."
See I like when people understand these things.
If they have 16,000 tanks why would they want to try restart production on their older designs tanks,if they have 15000 spare tanks ready to roll into ukraine???
You run along.
Ignore facts and stick to Twitter randos.
It's easier for you.
The US military industrial complex can politically and economically fuel this war for eternity
It's how long Eu countries or Russian country can sustain the fallout
70k protesting in prague today. How many will be protesting in the heart of winter?

Good grief, all this talk about Russia still having thousands of battle-ready tanks is hard to believe. Most of them will be missing an undercarriage and engines that were likely pilfered and sold to Iran and an assortment of Russia-friendly places over the years. That is the issue with mob rule states like Russia. A lot of what you hear from them is all posturing and boasting. the reality is always very much different.

"The Military Balance is the Institute’s annual assessment of the military capabilities and defence economics of 171 countries worldwide. It is an essential resource for those involved in security policymaking, analysis and research"
"Yeah but Twitter said"
In my work, I often get faced with documents that are hundreds of pages long and I only need to see certain parts of them to make my assessment. If I can't find what I need within a reasonable amount of time, it's sent back to the PM with an instruction to highlight them.
I doubt russia has much evolved in PM skills though.
"However, Russia still has some 2,000 battle-ready tanks at hand, as well as an enormous amount in storage.
The Military Balance 2021 database says Russian storage facilities have around 10,200 tanks, including various T-72s, 3,000 T-80s, and 200 T-90s"
10,200 tanks. With that many tanks someone could take over a country…. Pauses for the sound of crickets
Read the article you posted.
10,200 tanks available.
Will you start the insults again if I disagree?
"The vast majority are rust buckets"
Where did you read this?
The article you posted doesn’t agree with you. It basically said that there were about 3300 tanks. The vast majority of the 10k were rust buckets unfit for use. Then you post a link to a 536 page report and say to look there. I’m well versed with the shifting you are doing from others here. The one thing they have in common is that they are very pro-Russian.
Also, please stop with the childish attempts at insults via emojis.
Nah! A rant like that SCREAMS impotent rage. It’s like listening to a newly discovered Beethoven symphony. A delight to the ears.
The 535 pages are on all countries and regions around the world. Why would I read it?
It's a global study
You asked for a link ,I gave you a free pdf and a link.
Sure if you can't argue with someone who presents a global annual study with factual information just resort to insults.
Not a good look. 🤡🙊
Im sure you’ve read the 535 pages as well as you have read the article. Well, as well as someone on Kremlin Twitter has told you the contents.
Download the pdf for free here. 535 pages.
I sure did. I didn't stop halfway down the article like some people
List of equipment, manpower ,branches etc. Very detailed
Have a look at page 165 onwards
I don’t think you read the article.
It's an annual report. It costs 725 dollars.
I can post an article from Ukraine that uses figures from the annual report.
"The Military Balance 2021 database says Russian storage facilities have around 10,200 tanks, including various T-72s, 3,000 T-80s, and 200 T-90s.
The database’s 2016 publication also indicates that Russia has roughly 2,800 Cold War legacy T-55s (the first tank type to feature a nuclear warfare protection system in the 1950s) in storage, as well as 2,500 T-62s and 2,000 T-64s.
This means that Russia may have around 17,300 tanks produced between the late 1950s and now"
They're coming (you know who they are) in droves today. Panic is setting in.
What prosperity and freedom would Eastern European countries like Poland, Latvia, Czech Republic have without the US and NATO keeping them free of Russia's malign influence and pillaging?
If Russia's playbook of incursions, little green men, corruption, economic pressure an destabilisation was allowed to succeed without opposition and cost they would be next in line.
