When the Ukrainians looked under the 'reactive' armour blocks on a captured tank, they found blocks of rubber. This innovation likely paid for a nice property on the adriatic coast with stunning views and a private dock for the yacht.
The cost cutting corruption goes so far they've been fitting them with rubber - well it's something I suppose :pac
Nah, some on here are Team Russia. Simple as that.
….
Still a few around throwing putinbot insults left right and centre unfortunately. Apparently if you show genuine concern as to this war dropping down the public awareness levels you are a Russian agent or secret Putin admirer now. Logic ain't a strong point for a few 😐️
China is keeping in with the Russians - just enough to keep in with them and not enough to majorly piss off the Americans..
Trade between Russia and china has increased hugely the last few years ..
And any energy that used to go east to Japan will be hoovered up .. at a massive discount of course ....
There's probably a message for Russia in there as well though, along the lines of "Don't try anything funny in central Asia, buddy!" China is likely watching the ongoing rift between Kazakhstan and Russia with great interest, not least because Kazakhstan and the PRC share a direct land border, which always has the potential for conflict. I wouldn't be surprised at all if China would make moves to intervene if Russia were to attempt to re-establish their dominance over Kazakhstan.
Likely to show the world the Chinese military is coming to the fore on the world stage , Taiwan, south china sea,and further afield, not that siding up to Russia will get them anywhere,
Maybe checking out how the Russians perform in war games,, just in case you know, that they ever had to go to war with Russia...🙂
Sure. I think the people with a genuine interest are all still here while many of the most hysterical and obsessive posters from spring have thankfully disappeared and the thread is better for it, less name calling and insults going on.
Same thing happened in Syria,,,,special teams in plain clothes walking the streets and markets ( not to mention the many checkpoints) literally picked up people off the streets. It was one ( of the many ) reasons that men of military age fled Syria, and cannot return there. Granted , it would not generate the same level of animosity as Russian's picking up Ukrainians.

I think people are still taking a strong interest in matters. After all this is hitting us all in the pocket and having a significant impact on our housing and other issues.
But that doesn't imply that there's always something to be said. I read up and listen to any news on the conflict, but no point on commenting unless there is some new aspect.
Well they are going to get very good intel on the state of the Russian army and the local geology of the Vostok region :-)
I wonder what would happen if the Russian federation collapses in the next few years ?
Not referring to him specifically just making a general statement about separatism.
Best shot I've seen in a while:
You'd wonder what the Chinese get out of these drills with Russia. I know they talk about friendship and allies and the usual crap, but the Chinese have alternate reasons for everything.
Heh. Turns out, he was a Russian border guard stationed in Russia, the picture making the rounds is from some parade a few years ago. He now lives in Uzbekistan and, quell surprise, posts recipes to his social media. Name is Ivan Ivanovich Turchin.
The thread is pretty amusing, good sleuth work by the Twitterati More detailed fact check here, in Dutch: https://www.knack.be/factcheck/factcheck-nee-deze-foto-toont-geen-russische-generaal-majoor/
Hah! No... But, was he the actual border post?
Didn't a twitter sleuth track down that guy as some sort of border guard captain who is retired and might've worked the border near Belarus?
I think it's inevitable, nearly six months into the war, that it no longer dominates the news every day, especially when fighting is so concentrated in the east and neither side seems to be making big gains. It takes something spectacular, like the Crimea attacks last week or nuclear plant fears to grab media attention. Heck, look at this thread for proof. Most of the "Slava Ukraine!" lot who were posting here 20 times a day back in spring and attacking anyone who didn't agree with everything they said as "Putin bots" have long since left the thread (which has become much more civilized recently, thankfully), presumably distracted by something else.
More important for Ukraine is that the military, logistical, and financial and humanitarian aid keeps flowing. As long as that's there, they have a chance. If that starts to dry up it's time to get worried.
I'd be interested to know what the Russian news is like right now. Still the same morons on every day screaming about dropping nuclear bombs on Europe or is the conflict also drifting into the background?
You'd really wonder how accurate the HIMARS are if they can't take this guy out.
thread still growing but very interesting
He estimates 100000 invading at start of year not the 200000 “on paper” which makes the 30000 to 40000 dead even more insane
And if not already clear from their performance, fingerprints? Uncultured savages
Hard not to well up at the thoughts of this. I mean we know it's going on but knowing the details always makes it worse.
Himars found a match on tinder
Why do you think hes a separatist, loads of Ukrainian's stayed while the Russians took over probably thinking life would continue like normal
Hes most likely a Ukrainian picking up his kid from daycare hoping that life would be normal
What im really wondering is what happens when Russians snatch unwilling people of the street , give them guns and send them to the front line against their will, and tell them to start fighting
Who are the going to start shooting
This has huge potential to end badly for Russians
Now we're suckin diesel
Point taken. Would like to see it kept in the news cycle more though. It's vital it doesn't become "yesterdays news". Ukraine needs this to be front and centre as much and as long as possible.
If you check back you'll see every single one of my posts aren't along those lines
Bot you know this, sorry but you know this.
