It's all falling apart alarmingly fast for Boris Johnson across the water. How long you reckon he has left as British Prime Minister? Hours surely?
How many parties are they talking about now? I've lost count.

His influence will wane but his ability to generate a headline won't.
BoJo seems to be lining up a gig at the Daily Fail
Such an arrangement could cement the close links between the prime minister and the Mail titles – with potential benefits for all involved.
Martin Kettle speculates he could be planning to use his media perch to wield power without accountability
He could become a new kind of disrupter on the British scene, a rightwing media shock-maker...He could become the British version of American populist broadcasters such as Rush Limbaugh and Tucker Carlson, setting the agenda from outside the political system.
I doubt it though. To become that sort of figure he'd have to have a political agenda he really cares about. If all he has to say that he is really passionate about is
any influence he has will dwindle pretty fast...
The President of Rwanda Paul Kagame is a big Arsenal fan and he splurged £40m of public money to sponsor the sleeve of their shirt with the Visit Rwanda logo. Arsenal taking his money caused controversy at the time as the Rwandan economy was in trouble. He also regularly uses the Rwandan government jet to fly from Rwanda to London to watch Arsenal play and the red carpet is rolled out for him at the Emirates Stadium. He's been President for 22 years now and theres no sign of shifting him. A family member of mine met him about twenty years ago, in his early days as President he used to let tourists come to the palace in Kigali and he would meet them and give a little speech about rebuilding Rwanda after the civil war and genocide.
Arsenal had that last year too but I suppose it looks kinda bad taste these days.
Also notice it was apparently an offence for two female MPs to be banging a black male colleague but not the other way round. And who other than backbench Mayo TDs talks about 'fornication' in this day and age?
I noticed visit Rwanda on the jerseys of football players last night
Basically being gay or being a woman who has consensual sex is in the same category as being "handsy" (pervert)
I also love that Liam Fox just has a name next to him. No explanation needed.
What's with the picture of a list thats electronic that's been made to look folded like paper ? Also how drunk do you have to be to be able to read it.
Really? Looks like it was drawn up by a group of prurient homophobes to me. I bet 90% of that 'inappropriate behaviour with researchers' was just harmless flirting. Not sure how much of it is (or was) any great secret either. I know Amber Rudd has talked publicly about her relationship with Kwarteng, including the size of his, erm, endowment...
Nicola Sturgeon makes light of Truss's daft comment...
Evidently, not if you're a tory!
Rory Stewart! Get away.
That's a very disturbing list of activities indeed..
This list?
Wow.
Talk about having your integrity (what little she has) ripped to shreds.
🤣
yeah I was aware of it, though there is more to Truss' affair than what is in the public domain but I cant post it here. I was more interested in the info coming out of the Foreign Office, vast majority who work there would be Labour voting Londoners so you can only imagine how sick they are of dealing with Brexit, they are exhausted after years of implementing policy that they hate and voted against.
Another little tidbit I found out was during the height of the pandemic lockdowns the Home Office had a plan involving the army drawn up to shut down the motorways of the UK to stop people travelling. My mate told me it hadnt yet been decided whether or not it was going to be implemented but regardless of their intentions then the Domnic Cumming/Barnard Castle scandal happened and becasue Boris backed him instead of sacking him any notion of the plan was shelved. Officials in the Home Office felt it would never get public buy-in becasue Cummings was let off the hook. Boris would have been aware of all this at the time, him backing Cummings took an option to prevent the spread of the virus off the table.
Sunak is clearly intelligent and a very capable politician (by Conservative standards).
I'm fascinated by the idea of Truss as PM. She's clearly a walking car crash - not quite at Nadine Dorries levels admittedly, but pretty bad all the same. But Tory standards have fallen so low that I'm not sure people will even notice how weak she is.

Look at the comments on the articles to get a better feel of how the chumocracy works and how much it costs the taxpayer and the public. Also check out what her hubby does. Accountability is for other people.
Truss was terrible under moderately difficult questioning by Kay Burley. Really poor.
Sunak performed reasonably by comparison. There may have been an element of throwing caution to the wind when holding a losing hand, but tried a few new things - standing up for all of the audience interaction, bouncing about, bundle of energy, instant answering of questions.
There was a vote at the end. Kay Burley made a mess of asking the question - veering between 'who were you more impressed by?' then changing it to 'who are you likely to vote for?', clearly two separate things. Then the push button technology failed and it went to a show of hands, so all very unsatisfactory. But it was clearly around 75% in favour of Sunak. And these are Conservative party members.
It has had little or no impact on the betting markets though. Minor dial change at best, there was 8/1,9/1 Sunak available at tea-time and the best is now 7/1 But that's small beer.
It would be absolutely hilarious if Truss lost. Just about the whole cabinet has backed her now, so she wins and things go on as before, only more extreme, if Sunak wins, a new cabinet and somewhat of a reset.
But she changed her mind about an affair. Like many other things...
If I recall correctly, it was listed in the Tory partys list of MPs scandals to be kept hidden.
Apparently she had a full blown affair with a senior politico at the start of her political career, her husband found out but he stood by her. She was planning on leaving her husband but got worried about how an affair might look on her political career later down the track so she went back to him.
I hope you ascertained this was in the public domain before you posted, and isn't just gossip reported by your mate...
TalkTalk. Severe cyber attack which showed a complete dereliction of duty (and attempted abdication of responsibility afterwards) by execs.
She shouldn't have been let near anything which ever involved personal data ever again. But she was.
An appalling track record?
in what way?
The UK government appointed someone with an appalling track record in a blatantly political move. They proceeded to do as good as job as could be expected from them - that is an appalling one.
Maybe if they'd actually followed any rules at all in 'finding' someone for the job, it wouldn't have been a patronage appointment that went horribly wrong.
The Good Law Project picks up low hanging fruit, that is not in the public interest purely to score political points.
the Dido Harding case being a good one. They complained that the government did not consider enough people from an minority ethnic background before appointing Dido Harding to a temporary unpaid role.
technically, they are correct as the judge pointed out. Although the judge did also throw their complaint out as they are not a bonfire plaintiff.
what is the public interest in this decision? In the midst of a pandemic when someone needed to be appointed asap, we’re the government really going to go through several months of interviews?
of course not.
the good law project do this purely to score points and stroke their egos.
Esky must be taking a break and so the baton has been passed.
i was giving an example. We’re yiu expecting a detailed break down of each case?
Monopoli - you seem to think that there are different laws based on a person's political leanings. The Good Law Project must make arguments based on the law. Whether they are left, right, middle or totally non-political, they cannot simply take any action to court and win simply based on their beliefs.
Unless you actually believe that the courts are open to poltical persuasion?
Which would lead one to want a ECHR and EU courts to remove such political interference.
