They sank a ship they did not attack. Russians can do weird stuff.
Read it and weep. I'd advise you keep your counsel the next time...

Lavrov in Egypt complaining about the West stopping them from taking over Ukraine. The same Russia committing war crimes, deporting Ukrainians into Russia for god knows what (although I can guess, and it’s not pleasant).
Fuk you Lavrov.
But the beautiful thing about that BBC report is Russia begging for negotiations. We surmise things are going bad for Russia, they may be about to get worse than we hope (most of us here hope).
Nonono ... it was swamp gas from a weather balloon trapped in a thermal pocket and reflecting the light from Venus.

Sinn Fein and Putin's 'patronage' Woes, Dysfunction and Mistrust in the Ukrainian Embassy in Dublin (Part 2) - KyivPost - Ukraine's Global Voice
No, I don't think Russia will succeed in its main aim of taking over Ukraine and reabsorbing it back into a new Russian Empire.
But nor do I think Ukraine will succeed in driving Russia back to where it was in January, much less take back Crimea. I hope they do, but I just don't see it happening.
I expect a long, drawn out war with small gains and losses here and there, a lot of suffering and no clear winner.
He also said today that Russia intends to "liberate" Ukraine from the current regime. So as if wasn't clear already, regime change is now an explicit war aim. What a c*nt. I hope Zelensky has excellent security because as the Russian military stalls as I'm sure they will be desperately trying to assassinate him again
The worlds second best military
There's nothing wrong in Ukraine a ship-load of Napalm won't fix.
Load of rumours of a counter attack underway in the South.
Awaiting confirmation but some twitter accounts make for interesting reading.
Best of luck to the Ukrainians. There has been suggestions of a big counter attacks for weeks now.
If this is what you're talking about it's a lot more than a rumour already
I wish, hope, pray, and almost expect, that the South falls like a deck of cards.
The Ukrainians deserve it.
I dunno - a lot depends on continued support from the 'west' in terms of equipment & intelligence. Plus sanctions and soft power leveraged on those who might support Russian ambitions.
Russians have a good strip along the east of Ukraine but surely are vulnerable in terms of holes being punched in this in places, supply lines & Russian forces cut off. And then a lot will depend on the morale of those Russian forces. Have they the stomach to keep taking orders or would they rather be back home rolling in the arms of Olga.
Of course the UN is not a country. But whatever it is, current events have clearly demonstrated that it's no longer fit for purpose.
Praying for the Ukrainians, have grown to hate Russians so quickly. Had hoped for the general population to see sense but they are beyond hope..Good luck to them living in that kip under heir Putler.
Just on the Odessa attack! RTE news certainly backed what the scum said in its coverage as in they hit a military ship. It looked like it had gun turrets. Not that it was in use, but?
Anyone have more info on this?
I'm trying to do some ship ID based on the footage released, but I'm having trouble making heads or tails of it. It doesn't look like a "major" unit of the Ukrainian Navy, if the ship they hit was even a navy vessel at all. The silhouette doesn't seem to match anything in the Ukrainian arsenal, or at least none of the ships I could get a photo of. If it was a navy vessel, it was likely some small auxiliary craft like a water tender or a diving support vessel. Certainly nothing that would warrant a Kalibr in my eyes.
Ukrainian military destroyed Russian S-300 near Zelenotropynske in Kherson region
Also rumors there's hundreds of Russians surrounded near Kherson.
Right and anybody who believes that I have some swamp land I am happy to sell you!
Burned out artillery
Seen this last two days. Also seen claims RuZZians asked for a green corridor. Not sure what the truth is yet they are surrounded or that circle is complete and tightening. Lots of debate and talk about it.
Not at all my friend, just pointing out the obvious. Like i said the number of posts on this thread is proof enough of that. Needs to be kept in the public eye but i fear/know it's just dropping off the news and conversation cycle.
Yeah looks like they have done a serious amount of damage to the port including the ship according to France24. Heart breaking if true 😥
The Prime Minister of Moldova: We are very concerned about the risk of a possible Russian invasion if military operations are directed towards southwestern Ukraine
Plenty of news outlets being referenced here.
You can’t expect Joe Public to be totally engaged. But be sure those tasked with running countries are FULLY engaged.
Up to a thousand according to the BBC. That would be pretty major. However aren't many hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers who were defending Mariupol in Russian captivity? Would be curious what approach would be taken there. Destroy or swap deal?
Description of drone attack by Russian soldier
What purpose?
It was only ever a talk shop at best, and any post cold war hope of it being anything more was torpedoed by US invasion of Iraq without a UN mandate.
