Til they are all shot down?
They are not good planes in this day and age.
There will not be anymore 40 mile long Russian military convoys if they deploy the warthogs......come to think of it, there won't be any convoys, of any size.... They are a tank mans worst nightmare come through....even the sight of one approaching in "peace mode" is pretty terrifying. Slava Ukraine
To be honest, between this and the Putin health stuff, there is an embarrassing side to the Western Media and even politicians where we are being found to be lapping up a lot of nonsense and only giving weight to the Russian propaganda machine of us suffering from Russia-phobia and hysterics.
I reluctantly can see how everyday Russians might see us as fools who are clueless about what’s really going on. This in turn gives weight to an argument that maybe there is a lot we don’t know or understand about what has went on in Eastern Ukraine from 2014. Or at least from a Russian citizens perspective I can see how they might be convinced something on the assumption that the West is equally capable of BS.
To be fair, when claims come from either intelligence services, or ministry of defense or a president, then I’ll pay attention. Outside of that I would take anything, including a lot of shared content here coming from Twitter, with a pinch of a salt.
UK somewhere (possibly corrupt Russians selling on black market) found 50000 Soviet shells
Meanwhile, the Air Force’s top general on Wednesday hinted that Kyiv could be getting fourth-generation fighter jets as well. Speaking at the Aspen Security Forum, Gen. C.Q. Brown did not rule out the possibility that the U.S. or its allies could provide Ukraine with fighters, naming a number of possible platforms that could be sent.
“There’s U.S., there’s Gripen out of Sweden, there’s the Eurofighter or the Rafales. So there’s a number of different platforms that could go to Ukraine. ... It’ll be something non-Russian, I could probably tell you that. What I can’t do is tell you what it’s going to be,” Brown said.
Earlier in the day, Brown told Reuters that the U.S. and allies are starting to look at options to train Ukrainian pilots. But Milley said there have been no final decisions.

And the award for most delusional goes to ...
BTW, love seeing these clips - keep them coming.
Interesting take from Olga Skabayeva on Russia-1. She argues that the regime should not halt the war or agree to any peace talks, but instead should seek to eliminate the Zelensky led state.
This flies in the face of everything the Putin apologists in the west have been suggesting about "giving Putin an out" and bringing the war to a speedy conclusion. It seems from what she and Lavrov are saying that they actually favour a long war.
Half of the Russian shells are gone according to Russia itself

The European Union has agreed to ban imports of Russian gold, including jewellery, and freeze the assets of Sberbank, Russia's largest bank.
In a way a closed down nordstream is no further use to Russia ,no income -no possibility of future income and most importantly absolutely no leverage over Germany and the eu ..
So it's a balancing act .. Russia doesn't want to send so much gas that Germany can fill it's reserves , Germany doesn't want to be seen to send too much support to Ukraine as to "push" Russia into turning off the taps entirely....
Believe it or not Russia is still paying gas transit fees to Ukraine - neither side wants to be seen as the ones shutting off the gas to Europe ...
Ukraine devalues its currency by 25% as country has been reduced in size by 25% due to war with Russia - central bank
ehh...they loosened the noose on certain Russian banks so long as they trade in grain and fertilzer and did not extend the gold ban to include jewelry. EU nooses to tend to look awfully like loop holes
In entirely unrelated news, nord stream is back in business 😊
Eh the EU is going to cut its gas exports from Russia by 2/3 by the end of the year. Give it a year or two, and Russia will be selling **** all oil and gas to Europe. Their ace up their sleeve turned out to be a dud.
The point is that nobody should be afraid of Russian full mobilisation any more than what's currently happening. Yes, EVERYONE at the blunt end of the war wants it to end. Wishing aint going to make it so... I'm assuming you don't believe in fairy god mothers. My lack of fear in Russian full mobilisation has nothing to do with amusement, although the Russian command realising that wont make much difference WILL be amusing - the sooner the more deluded/cult followers realise they aren't going to win in Ukraine the better for everyone, especially your acquaintances in Ukraine (ethnic Russian and Ukrainian) - you're not of the belief Russia is going to win in Ukraine, are you?
Yes yes more and more
Russian forces have not made significant advances towards Slovyansk or along the Siversk-Bakhmut salient in the past few weeks and are continuing to degrade their own offensive combat power in localized fights for small and relatively un-important settlements throughout Donetsk Oblast. Russian troops have notably been attempting to take Siversk since the capture of Lysychansk and the Luhansk Oblast border on July 3 and have still not reached the city as of July 20.Similarly, Russian troops have failed to launch direct assaults on Bakhmut and have largely impaled themselves on fights for small settlements to its east and south. Efforts to advance on Slovyansk have mostly ground to a halt and have made no meaningful gains for weeks. The renewal of active ground offensives following the brief operational pause has not yet translated into meaningful Russian forward progress, although it is possible that either steady Russian pressure or the completion of Russian efforts to rebuild combat power could generate limited gains in the coming days or weeks.
Russian troops are now struggling to move across relatively sparsely-settled and open terrain. They will encounter terrain much more conducive to the Ukrainian defenders the closer they get to the E40 around Slovyansk and Bakhmut due to the increasing population density and built-up nature of these areas.
The current Russian offensive in Donbas is therefore highly likely to culminate somewhere along the E40 in the coming weeks.
A Himars a day,keeps the russians away
The left always make excuses for piece of sh1t regimes like China or Russia, always have always will.
A lot of that would just be wishful thinking. It's the same in any war, propaganda by the barrel loads. Putin dead would have little or no effect anyway as many in his inner circle are equally as cruel if not worse.
>>I think Ukraine needs to start striking hard into Russia. F every single one of them..... Lets see their cities dropped to rubble
That will make Ukraine an aggressor and it will be hard to justify helping them to kill civilians, it will be no different from what russians are doing now.
heavy Russian shelling all across the front lines, are Russia mass producing shells at this stage? they must be getting them from somewhere
That would simply be a complete waste of ammunition, not that they would have that level anyway. You also have the danger of supplies being cut off from the west if you engage in Orc tactics.
Nothing gained from levelling a town or city, much better hitting supplies and admin.
Beside Putin pooping all over all the excuses they made by clearly stating his imperial ambitions we now also have Lavrov confirming all of this yesterday
I kinda feel sorry for “but but NATO” brigade usually from far left, the amount of mental gymnastics they perform is incredible (and yet unable to climb out of Putin’s rear)
Trouble for Russia on every front. Not only is Chechnya getting itchy feet but Syria is starting to rumble again.
Bring on the napalm.
Just learned that Zelensky's wife is the Lady Olenna
Here's Putin when her name comes up
I think Ukraine needs to start striking hard into Russia. F every single one of them..... Lets see their cities dropped to rubble. If Putin goes nuclear then Biden already said in so many words that Nato would have to get involved and stop them.
You may be wishing for full mobilisation and full-on war for your amusement at home but I know from speaking to many Ukrainian refugees that all they want is for the war to end, not expand further and cause more suffering
You would have to assume that NATO/US have that intensively war gamed out and there would be an extremely swift response. Six months on such a scenario would be even worse for them, so the fear is minimal.
Randos on the internet believe all manner of things. I'm aware of the rumour that was floating around.
The "intel" which is what the poster was referring to never suggested any such thing though.
There were certainly plenty here who believed Putin had at best months to live with a terminal illness. So much for that theory...
Unfortunately he's going to have to be dealt with or got rid of the hard way
