It was actually a Peugeot e2008
Circumstances have changed for the better so Tesla is an option
Ok so could be be a few weeks out myself...jasus i was kinda expecting 23 also but ill take it this year.
What is your EDD? Mine updated to August 22 - October 06.
Same for me..when i ordered June 17th the estimated delivery was Q1 2023, which suits me....still surprised that dates have come forward. Many customers in UK have orders for 6 months and no firm delivery dates/texts.
I will most likely have to contact them and request to postpose delivery date (my existing car is only 3 months old). I am also hoping that prices increase in Ireland before delivery as it means that second hand value of my car would also increase and minimise cost to change. Hopefully it will all work out....
Yes. It’s a US thing.
Me too, it was exciting to see a different message to their last few automated ones.
Just rang them cos even though I’m the owner of the car, my other half is setting up the loan; so we had to request an invoice made to his name.
We are handling the loan through AIB ourselves and will pay with cash option. Only started process today.
It’s actually getting real even without the vin.

I put in as a cash buyer, so not going the finance route..
I only ordered to protect against a price increase as I already have a Model 3, and if circumstances allow in 2023, I'll upgrade.
Actually the Wallbox Pulsar Plus is about the same price so that's a runner also. Its down to price for me really.
Have you done anything about the financing yet? It says Tesla would reach out if they needed any information, so I've just left it until now
What's the reason for going with the Ohme over other options? I was also told that the Tesla Gen 3 doesn't come with load balancing built-in, so that rules it out for me also.
I've done some calling around on this and with my set-up, it will be looking like approx 1,300 EUR (incl. VAT) for charger supply (Ohme) and installation. Taking the grant into consideration it'll work out approx 700 EUR
The prices I've been quoted range from 1,300-1,500 depending on the charger selected.
My initial plan was to go with Tesla charger but as it doesn't include load balancing and apparently i would need to get another contraption installed to handle that, otherwise I could be looking at a lot of trip flipping so I'll go with a non-tesla option.
The EDD in the app is Aug 15 - September 14.
The SMS this morning says "estimated delivery timing for your Model 3 is August - September".
Therefore at this stage, I can only assume the actual delivery date is going to be met.
No assignment of vehicle for me anyway - I believe that happens in or around the time the cars are on the ship.
My EDD is showing as August 14 - September 15
Text this morning said - "Tesla Update, estimated delivery timing for your Model 3 is August-September. Prepare for delivery by completing your pre-delivery tasks"
What was you guys initial EDD window? Would also like to know what the text says? Are they giving you a definite delivery window or is it just that a vehicle has been assigned to you?
Thanks guys.
Home EV charger
I've made some inquiries about getting home EV charger installed and it seems a tails upgrade is required before a car charger can be installed. The supplier has suggested they do a survey and then they will quote for the work. I got a second opinion and it definitely is the case.
Obviously I want and need everything to be fully up to spec and safe, so the work will need to be done.
Has anyone else had to to this? Any ball park figures of what it might cost?
Thanks
Yes, me also.
I got the text this morning to say prepare for delivery...
Rang Tesla just now and asked as to when the financing (Hire Purchase) process would start - she sent me out the application form to fill out. That gets emailed back into Tesla and they submit the application on your behalf then come back with a decision\quote.
I also asked about the €250 deposit and is that refunded on delivery or is it be taken off the overall price
She also said that the August\September timeline is likely at this point. They only received formal approval yesterday to start reaching out to anyone who falls into this window to get financing moving.
Yes sentry would kill it alright. Car seems to be well asleep when I check app takes about 30 seconds to wake it. I left the car with 67%, now 66%. If I still have 60% next Friday I will be happy with enough to get home comfortably. Probably have more.
I left the car in what looks a safe spot near a camera and one side close to a pillar.
I'm going away for 3 weeks in the middle of the month. I don't have sentry mode enabled. Planning on leaving it around 50 - 60%. Reading online and it doesn't seem to be much of a problem.
We are away for 10 days, model3 rwd, since Tuesday. Car underground parked up. Will try and not interrogate the app, only checked the temp a few times so far seems to stay at about 17C. So far lost 1% will be of interest to see loss over 10 days
I'll put €10 on it being a Bz4Xr3iii
What was other EV you cancelled out of curiosity?
Order now to lock in the current price (increases are expected soon),
And if they offer you a car in September/October/anytime in 2020, you can just decline it, and will be put to the back of the queue to expect a Q1/2 2023 delivery, most likely Feb/March.
The back of the queue sounds daunting, but in reality, it's just going to be the next delivery cycle... Feb/March, or June/July
Hi guys,
Thinking of ordering a model 3 after canceling my other EV order due to a big delay and not being sure I still liked it.
Just wondering, if it says Jan-March 23, can I assume it won't be brought forward to 2022? For a few reasons, it has to be 2023 for me.
Should I wait until later in the year to order to make sure of this or just order now and refuse it if they offer it to me in 2022? Any ideas if I would get put to the bottom of the list again if I refused for example?
Thanks and sorry if this has already been answered.
They do yes. I traded in my MS in March and it was on the website a week later.
From my dealings with them, they are trying to build up their used car experience and stock.
I have a set of these: Amazon Linky
They are really deep and great for keeping the muck out and easy to pull out and hose down. I think the design really compliments the Tesla really well, but the raised pattern may not be to the liking of some and it is quite deep at about 5-7m.
What ever you order make sure they specify RHD - the first set I ordered were for LHD (even though the pic showed RHD nothing was specific in the ad description).
A quick warning to anyone with an active pre-order. Don't try to change your email on the account. I tried as I used my work email when signing up without realizing, and it broke the account access. Tesla Support is looking into it, but are not sure if it can be rectified.
Left with 72% and got here on 55%. Car was adamant that I was arriving with 64%!! Even with 28 miles to go it was saying I would do it using 1% battery 😂
