Isn't it illegal for manufacturers and distributors to set retail prices? They can recommend but that's all.
the parkrun voucher wasn't applied to my shopping..i picked up the eggs..made sure the codes matched but got charged for them
I had both the free range eggs and the caesar salad in my basket. It should have been applied to the eggs as they are more expensive than the salad, but it was applied to the salad.
I just noticed this during the week. I normally get the two pack of ham & cheese jambons, both Lidl and Aldi sell them at 1.19. Was in Aldi on Monday and they had gone up to 1.39, said I would get them in Lidl for 1.19 later in the week. Then in Lidl yesterday hey presto they had also gone up there to 1.39 identical to Aldi and within a few days.
There is no doubt supermarkets are watching each others prices, thats what they use market research mystery shoppers for. But it still came as a surprise to me to see them both increase a price identically within a few days of each other.
Had issues today too with getting the eggs it didn't come off aswell, so I just didn't get them, managed to get to ldil again later and it worked! So not sure what happened
Was supposed to get free packet of ham for 2 euro odd but never redeemed for, it was 100% activated in the app. Why does this happen so often? Painful.
Was that on the coupon plus? I redeemed it last week so wonder what went wrong for you.
Oh yeah 100% the correct item, weight matched etc (320g cooked ham). Not expired.
Contacted CS, will see what happens. More annoying than anything. Has happened a few times.
The green fuel the farmers don't pay duty on or the regular fuel the trucks don't pay VAT on? Regardless, neither have gone up the same as the milk which is from Irish cows who eat free grass and drink free water

That's illegal under consumer protection (competition) legislation
free grass and free water?? LOL!!!!!!
If you think grass is free there's no way to debate.. Too off topic anyway but wow.
I got a scratchcard today without a purchase, just collecting a freebie. A glitch in the matrix or have lidl reversed the recent update that required a spend I wonder?
they looked at the visit frequency numbers and they decided to sacrifice more chocolate to bring us in the shop more often . Maybe we'll take bread and milk also ( on the new prices ) . All this since last week
Its my local shop so between me and my wife we could be in there 10 times a week so probably have about 10 scratchcards, its great.
They've reversed it for now, I've had the same all the last week, got scratch card without purchases
Their deluxe yoghurts that were 39c have shot up to 59c!
Believe it or not, that yougart was 29c couple of years ago, I showed it to our local Dunnes manager for the craic
Agh!
I'm a big fan of the rhubarb one.
if it makes you feel any better and apologies for off topic
The " similar/ same" Dunnes Simply Better are 95 cent!
Dunnes ones were 59c when the Lidl/Aldi ones were 29c…
Dunnes food is trying to ape M&S food. It IS better quality than Lidl.
I registered for the app, verified email and everything but it still won't show my card to scan, says there is an error not available now. Anyone seen this before? Tks
The Park Run might be over! Not working for me today.
Hopefully they are just useing a different code
Thanks for the few codes I've used from this thread but Lidl are ramping up prices at a mad rate. They should just dump all the discounts / freebies and keep their prices as low as possible. Shopping elsewhere for now.
Have we any discount codes left for €10 off? Think I’ve used last of them. Thanks
Think Clare04 was the last I used on Sunday, which went through fine.
