Its not just cultural and artistic treasures which are been stolen by Russian thieves under the direction of Putins army. Its also basic foodstuffs such as wheat.
Ukraine accusses Russian forces of Stealing "hundreds of thousands" of Tons of Grain
I believe the Russians tried something similar in in Ukraine in 1933-34
Collecting expelled diplomats presumably.
How we deal with these villains will be a pivotal moment in the story of humanity
Is Gerasimov's wound just a wound or a 'we're not going to invade' wound?
Could say the same to Britain stealing from India, Egypt, Africa, point is they won’t be given back.
.
They didn’t try it they did it it’s part of Russian military doctrine. It’s either they have it or nobody does.
If I shoot you in the head at a range of 1km, or from 10m, yo are likely to be just as dead. It's painful having to explain this to you. Nuclear weapons don't undergo a nuclear explosion if intercepted. Still a nasty mess to deal with, but preferable to the alternative.
Somebody should do something about this.
Russian media admits the collapse of the railway bridge at Kursk was "sabotage". There seems to be a lot of this stuff going on all over Russia at the moment : nearly impossible to publicly protest against the regime, but actually much easier to blow things up and set fire to places.
The UK just handed back the Benin Bronzes. Hopefully the Elgin marbles theft will be seen for what it is. The crimes of British colonialism are not justification for Russia's.
Have the Russians even admitted he was wounded?
The Moskva death toll is still 1 or 2 afaik.
And I do have to ask the question why.
Why was Gerasimov there if Dvornikov is in control and all is going to plan?
Unless of course he isn't in control.. maybe even one of the two other generals reportedly killed last week?
Sure it's grand so.
...
Nah, no more treaties or niceties with these thugs. Pummel them into the ground at all
opportunities now. Reagan had the right idea in the early 80s.
Fair play to them and their supportive Familys. Great result and Good Luck for the future.
In Belgorod right now, the bridge across the Seversky Donets is blocked from both sides.
Much like the collapse of the soviet “Union” in the late 80s, I’d know like to see the precipitation of a collapse of Russia itself and the west should do all it can to assist that. It’s not an homogeneous nation by any means. This is a country that needs to be put in its rightful pace and weakened to what it really should be. Now is the perfect time to push that through.
More good news today. It will stop the inflow of heavy equipment from Russian operating base just north east of Sumy.
Are some poster's targeting this humble website as well?
It is not like it would be high on a list of places to target?
Or is the case of them reading the propaganda on other sources and spreading it here with statements like the below quote.
Historically Russia has been more of a peacemaker and less of an invader than any major European nation.
^^^ Just quoting, not stating it myself.
I almost feel bad about posting this https://twitter.com/TroopsinContact/status/1520806595860434949?s=20&t=O5SdUyS8T29apBljTnB6pA
Yes, it will drastically reduce / remove Human input in the environmental destruction, but he forgot to mention the damage a nuclear war would have in the destruction stakes on the environment itself,,,,,or if it would ever be the same again? Most likely a new environment would emerge after hundreds of thousands or even millions of years. But we wont be around to see it...
Updated: UP, citing its own sources, refutes information about Gerasimov's injury . Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation , was wounded on the territory of Ukraine, near Izyum, Kharkov region.
This was written by military journalist and blogger Alexander Shulman.
66-year-old Gerasimov received a shrapnel wound in the upper third of the right leg without a bone fracture. The chip was removed, there is no danger to life. Army General Gerasimov and other officers were sitting at the command post, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine delivered an accurate blow. According to preliminary information, 20 officers were killed.
The Telegram channel "Vertical" reports that the Chief of the Russian General Staff Gerasimov is trying to leave Izyum, where the Rashists are suffering huge losses, and their supplies have been interrupted.
That logic can be challenging......when do you draw the line.......when at one time, the brit occupation of the north made no sense (to republicans)....its now kind of accepted and people just get on with it.....
So if the Russians (in their warped view) decide to occupy Ukrainian territory for the next 50 years...at that future stage, people like yourself will say sure just leave it to them now...
Israel have employed similar tactics.......
Take over someone elses land....tough it out long enough and then there is some kind of recognition that you can get away with it....
That is why the Russians must be driven out of every part of Ukraine....including Crimea...or else they will never get it back.....
What is that video- Russian army training?
No one knows how much death and destruction that armored vehicle had been responsible for previously, and after the drone launched its rocket / bomb, ( which was clearly aimed at the open hatch ) it started to move, and the bomb hit the edge of the opening, rather then exploding internally and so a lot of the blast was deflected. As for the morality of attacking the soldiers crewing it, even if they were injured amongst them, there was no Red Cross or white flags displayed, so no impediment to being attacked beyond any human morality. On the other hand, when it comes to Russians , they are attacking each and every target presented even when protected by the Red Cross Emblem. Had the situation been reversed, the Russians would have had no compunctions whatsoever about dropping a bomb on an Ukrainian armored vehicle. I'm not justifying it, but it is a war situation.
Not long before the explosion several military helicopters were filmed in the area .
Again!!!
It isn't just a case of a country holding land for long enough. It's also a case of what is the will of the people on the land. The latter is a big part of why the great majority of Irish people recognise Northern Ireland's right to exist and why a border poll doesn't seem that likely to pass. On the contrary to that, any Ukrainian territory that Russia sits on where the majority people do not want them there will be a thorn in their side no matter how long they stay.
As for Crimea, specifically, it seems that most people there consider themselves Russian and would prefer to be a part of Russia. Or at least, this is the impression I was getting, even leaving aside the Russia-organised Crimean secession referendum of 2014. Could it be that true opinion in that region is really a much closer-run thing, or that opinion has greatly flipped since the beginning of this 'special military operation'? Certainly can't discount that, but I haven't been hearing much noise on the subject either.
Failing that, if it were a case of Russia withdrawing from all other Ukrainian territory, I think Zelenskyy would be open to sit down and talk about the recognition of Crimea as part of Russia.
The attacks on Russia and the sabotage are fascinating. The Russian public have gotten off very lightly so far - the war coming to their country more and more is something they're going to have to chew on in coming days and weeks.
There are no nuclear tipped air to air missiles
And an air defence is as good as its radar with over the horizon view
