Look very closely at the picture
2017
What? Scrap that, the Trump has come up Trumps
Something is missing from the top picture and it's very much important if your running into battle
Wait, what??? Is that for real? Not photoshopped??? That’s Monty Python level right there if this is real 🤣🤣
I counted 4 people carrying Aks minus any magazines ,seems to be genuine and not altered
Exercises - would they be running around with magazines loaded?
Of course they would ,why wouldn't they
@thomil
Not at all. He can hit the other lads over the head with it instead. Hardy boys them Trans fellas/ladies.
They even got Harry Potter cancelled
Love it 🤣
Mariupol mayor is the absolute spit of Zelenskyy.
Has Biden created a clone army ?
There is not even one shred of evidence that Putin doesn't like people of other races. There are countless examples that he is following the example of a the Communist society he grew up in. Hopefully he will not achieve more than a tiny fraction of it's savagery.
Yep, Hitler despised the Jews whereas Putin claims that Ukrainians and Russians are the same people. (again, not a defender, just agreeing that this really aint a comparison to Hitler).
You are making bigoted generalised statements about Russians.
It's complete nonsense, but It's all ok to be bigots against all Russians now..
Eh it's not really that bad.
If you were running a "realistic" battle scenario you would be firing blanks and your rifle would be fitted with a blank firing adapter. Often times even the magazine isn't a standard magazine to make it clear it's not loaded with live rounds:
If you're just drilling and especially early in your training you might even use an entirely and obviously fake weapon:
Or alternatively if you're not firing blanks and you're a bit further along in your basic you might use a real weapon without a magazine (https://www.stripes.com/news/basic-training-overhaul-coming-for-the-army-will-focus-on-discipline-morale-1.510957):
Firing a bunch of blanks is relatively expensive; especially if you're a non-nation like Transnistria so it's not terribly surprising they might not be using them for their exercises/training. And in the absence of blank rounds and training weapons you're probably better off running around without magazines rather than risk a partially or fully loaded magazine slipping in there somewhere.
But yes I suppose it's not a very good look if you're running a photo op during an exercise and you can't even afford a few blank rounds.
I would disagree on this one. All the evidence is that Russian nationalists regard Ukrainian people as an inferior version of themselves. Racially, culturally, whatever way you want to frame it. Putin and his disciples see the role of Ukrainians to be subservient to their masters.
I suppose the trans soldiers just run around saying bang ,bang
I spent 2 mins trying to work out how 'bang, bang' was a dig at the LGBT community. This and UK...
I heard that the 'two drones' shot down by the Russian army today are a drone they shot down days ago that they took pictures of in two different locations.
Exactly - listening to the phone calls and the rhetoric coming from Russia they are seen as an inferior race. It is very much like Romania and the Roma
I am with you on this. It seems pretty clear IMHO that the Russian dictatorship look down on Ukrainians as at best inferior and its clear that they wanted to wipe them off the map and extinguish Ukraine as a country and people.
Transit time from Ukraine's border to front lines seems to be remarkably short.
Regardless, I am far less certain that cessation of gas export would result in the end of the war particularly quickly. Economic actions work against a nation's will, but history has shown a population is willing to suffer quite significant deprivations while fighting is going on. A weapon, however, has a much more concrete and controllable effect, national will doesn't enter into it.
Only 100% of natural gas,and it’s not a primary energy source for Finland.
I didn't laugh. I did roll my eyes so hard I think I saw the underside of my brain though.
Tell that to Austria and Switzerland.
I would agree MM, but the national will can certainly impact the man pulling the trigger of the weapon. When the national will starts to swing away from supporting a conflict the people at the pointy end tend to follow pretty quickly. If you look at past conflicts where economic and other privations didn't reduce the population's willingness to fight and even increased it, in the vast majority of cases the populations were defending their lands and interests rather than attacking anothers.
Anything else that u are aware of and that the Russians might like to check out or like to know
They've made some valid points if you dig down through the silly though. And switch off your rooting for the little guy mode. If Russia stopped tomorrow they could claim a "win" of sorts. The "independent" states free and a land corridor to Crimea. Now they have to keep and defend it, but they've kept and defended Crimea for nearly a decade. Crimea is a done deal. Gone. Never going back to Ukraine in our lifetimes and I can't see Russia walking back on their current gains. They're also spot on about the Germans dragging their heels, never mind cozying up to Russia and Russia's dirty money for years. When one of your ex prime ministers is raking in millions on the board of a Russian energy company the German people need to to ask very strong questions of their political class. But they probably won't past rants on twitter, because the potential for losing your job and feeling the cold in December tends to sap resolve and revolutions.
On the other hand Russia's international political and economic reputation is in tatters. They've lost big time there. Oh sure some companies will go back in, but their economic landscape is very different to what it was this Christmas gone. What gains they made in the years of putin's reign are essentially gone. Ukraine's future looks a lot stronger. They'll never look to the East again. Putin has guaranteed that for generations.
A new nuclear power plant just went online, so Russian gas is going to be even less important in the future.
