Unless you have specific reason not to use it, 50m is within Ethernet capabilities, would be much more reliable.

If you have to cross a drive or a road then perhaps that not the best solution. Personally I'd use two Ubiquiti Networks LOCOM2 NanoStations normally about €50-€60 each but at present I can't find them anywhere at that Price, when Amazon had them is stock last I bought 2 of them https://www.amazon.co.uk/UBIQUITI-Networks-NanoStation-airMAX-Outdoor/dp/B00DCNRTAG/ for about €110 (for the pair). If you do get those I can probably email you a config file for each one if you can't set them up yourself. There are loads of other wireless bridge solutions but after trying many of them I've got quite fond of the Ubiquiti Nanonstations. The downside is if you don't follow a youtube video or some such on configuring them there is quite a steep learning curve. You probably don't need the M5 (5GHz) version because you link is so short although the M5 allow for faster speeds - M5 upto 300Mbps and M2 upto 150Mbps.

If you on 1GB fiber - difference at the destination location will show up, not so much if you on 100MB
Be aware, LAN port on these units(Nanostation) only support 10/100Mbps, thus your max LAN speed at destination will be limited to that.

Do you have a better solution than the Nanostations? I was trying to come up with something that was reasonable on price.
I have a few M5's set up that provide my own internet from a neighbors Vodafone Fiber connection and while I get a max of 60Mbps I don't find it limiting in anyway. I had M2's set up for a backup to a 4G connection but there the limiting factor was the 4G.
One other point with the Nanostations is that the instructions recommend using shielded Cat5 cable for the link from the Nanostation to the PoE block for lightning and RF protection. I have the cables here just by my desk but have never bothered to fit them and so far so good 😏
Over the distance that vicwatson is talking about there shouldn't be any performance drop with the M2's inside behind glass inside on a windowsill which can save a lot of messing around getting cables through walls and putting up mounts.
No, not for a reasonable price. It is as good as it gets. Just a note to OP, you know how convincing marketing can be - "up to 300Mbps" and few ***, that not everyone reads.
"Nanos" are good , for a purpose, like CCTV for a farm, etc. Providing 100Mbps is sufficient, it is fine actually for any purpose - not everyone have even that.
Again, depend on destination specifics, just an outdoor AP could provide same/similar speed, in some cases even better.

Black is the colour of outdoor cables on the whole. The other option for white might be a cat6 shielded cable. I say this as they tend to be slightly stronger that ordinary cat6. Just plug and play no configuration as you are just extending the network in the house.
You probably don't want a router unless you want to create a separate subnet.
You could use an old 4 port router if you have one kicking around just don't use the WAN connection use use the 4 ports which are a switch.
Once your new cable terminated on both ends, just plug and use. if need expand network, as per above - switch or old router.
If you'll go with switch, but still need WiFi you'll need something to act as AP there. Router will provide both, switching and WiFi functionality
Notes re "old router":
either need to be configured in AP mode or disable DHCP for IPv4 and IPv6(if present). Recomend to set it on static IP for future management
You might want to check that it is gigabit capable router.
You can configure "old router" WiFi with same name and pass as your main, leave band and channel on Auto
Once completed setup, take configuration backup if possible
